Wolf Of Coins lol I honestly could pass on all the ‘extras’ lol - in fact I’m hoping the re-release it in a more standard sized box without all the extras lol better for the tarot shelf lol
@@TheLivingWheel I know, I too could do without the coin and the seal, but when I saw the red fabric, I so hoped there would be a pouch for the cards, LOL xD It would be very nice if they released the deck without the extras for wider public, this deck is absolutely worth it!
So delighted to see you sniffing your book! :-D Beautiful walk through on this deck. So sweet to see how happy this deck has made you! I have to say, I prefer the U.S. Games version overall. TONS of love Magda!
Sniffing is totally a part of the experience! :D Well, it's the U.S. Games version for you then? They do have great cardstock :D Love to you too! ♥️♥️♥️
The Visconti symbol is the dragon, they changed it when the Sforza family married the Bianca Visconti, the Modrone was a wedding present. Hence the different symbols
Oh really? I heard they brought this crest from the crusades, taking it away from a fallen enemy (which was a custom back then). I thought that the man being eaten by a dragon (or, alternatively, being spit out by the dragon) was an original crest from the south.
I'm pretty sure, these cards were made as novelty. Can't imagine someone playing them, so huge. It's more interesting are these cards the expensive interpretation of already existing playing cards, or the actual playing cards are the cheap versions of these decks
Yes, it would be so interesting to know! I'd vote that this is a luxurious interpretation of existing playing cards, it makes more sense to me. Like, people do that sort of stuff today as well :D
Hi, just purchased this and I am afraid to open it. I would like to use it but it is really a collector's item. Is this the best classic tarot in Your opinion? Is there another complete 89 cards more affordable edition? Which is the "Kickstarter" one? Thanks in advance for answering.
I'm actually not sure which one is the Kickstarter version, because I own only this one. As to which is the best, it really depends on your preference :) Don't be afraid to use it, I'm reading with it from time to time and it's absolutelly all right, it's not fragile.
Hi, and congrats for your review. Just a question: I didn't understand a thing: the surface of Lo Scarabeo cards is uniformly smooth/plain as a normal “plasticky” pocker card? Or it has some relief texture? I'm asking this because I'd like to use the deck just to play cards-games, and I worry to waste the deck after various shuffles. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hi! I think it should be OK to use them for games, they seem sturdy enough (the size, however, will make it difficult to play!). I'm not sure how durable the gold gilding on the edges is though.
@@wolfofcoins Thanks for your kind reply. Well, size is not a problem (I usually play with the Mamluk cards reconstructed by Ulrich Kaltenborn), but my doubt is the thickness: cards seem thick and I'd like to know if the deck is comfortable to be shuffled? (Thanks)
Hello Magdalena: Do you know if I can buy this lovely edition? There's a LS edition on Ebay but it doesn't have the beautiful dresses like this edition. And they are from Lithuania. Thanks for this wonderful unboxing.

No, only regular meanings, plus for the pips you get the standard RWS meanings. There is more info on the court cards though (the description is split into 'In a Reading' and 'Qualities and personality').
Dear Wolf of coins... I have watched your video. I am currently working on developing my own deck, with restavration of old cards. I would really be happy if you cold send me several HD large scans of some of the cards in this deck: Popesss, Pope, Empress, Emperor, Lovers and the Weel of fortune :) Many greetings

I agree! The colors in this version are very subtle, same goes for the brush strokes.

I'm sorry, I don't really feel comfortable about sharing high quality scans of a copyrighted deck :(
Best wishes!
What’s the name of the Luigi’s Deck ?
It's called The Cary-Yale Visconti by US Games. Scapini has also done his own full deck, which is called the Medieval Scapini.
