    Tell your boy to check his hip mobility& strength. Years of sciatica and piriformis solved by actually stretching and strengthening my hips in just 5 months.........not saying it will work for every human, just saying if ur dealing with lower back or knee issues to consider it. Was causing me serious knee issues as well. Keep swinging team

    Thank you. This helps to clarify the hip bump. I was doing the hip bump but was not placing pressure on the inside of the trail foot. I now have the correct post and brace position to enable a good body turn.

      Agreed, turn on the inside of trail leg to inside of front leg. I must have missed this explanation along the way.

    Apart from taking pressure off the back, which is important for a 70 years old like me, and it basically pre sets impact, took me a while to master with longer clubs and driver, but now confident with this set up

    Hey Coach, with wedges a hip bump is 70:30. Are you just maintaining the same weight 70:30 throughout the swing?Even for irons as well?

    Once again, excellent video! Lots of good content including proper way to bump the hips, how to rotate around the spine with a stable head, keeping pressure on the inside of the feet for stable posts, and how Jason Day has adopted this into his game.
    When you see someone do the hip bump and backswing chest coil correctly, but then see the left knee jut out past the front foot, and a loose leg that does not brace up and form a wall into and through impact is that mainly from making an incorrect lateral move, or are there other flaws at work?
    Would be interested to see Jason Day's new swing used as an example some more in the future if it fits into what you are talking about. (Also like when you use Adam Scott movements as examples in your videos).

    Great. Finally someone explaining the reason behind the weight shift. Pity I can't make out what 'typical sign' you're trying to point out at 6:26. Because that position looks a lot like me.. is that the reverse spine issue?

    Finally a good description of the “bump”! It always looked like the left hip bumped back. Eye opening when you said it’s the right hip that bumps at an angle
    Now is there a “starter move “(kick) that starts the swing- puts motion into backswing?

    Question regarding the left/lead knee. I have a lead knee that tends to rotate inside the ball even with the hip bump. Is this just a flexibility thing? Or could it be an incorrect setup or pressure?

    Here’s the way I’ve recently started to deal with this. Imagine your playing football and you need to make a cut off your dominant side. That feeling of not letting your weight get over your ankle but staying centered is the feeling you want.

    Have to be honest, notice most of the guys who play with a Closed Stance have serious Back issues, even on the PGA including Tiger Woods, Steep Angles with the club, or too Flat, and Over The Top,
