@@EricGraham94 I recommand it ! The public seems to enjoy it highly each time You just have to find out if such concerts are going to happen near enough (in France, where this one - among others - took place, there won't be LOTR-in-concert event for a couple years from now)
@@StanLehmann Yes, it's incredible how consistent the music is throughout all the films. I don't know of any other film series that creates such musical intensity.

How many times I’ve watched and how many times I charmed and exited …. top cult movie ever!!!! Thx to such a great team , without them it wasn’t possible- H. Shore, P. Gollum was the inadvertent hero, by accident. If he hadn't bitten the ring off Frodo's finger, and fallen into the lava, the ring would be in Sauron's possession
the Ring has a Will of its own, and yes Frodo can be seen as a hero despite the fact of his final weakness, he was able to carry the ring across the Middle Earth as a dutty for the good of all, in the begining he even offered the ring to Gandalf to put it away, from the shire and gandalf refused it, same happened to Galadriel who also rejected it after falling into teptation of power and greatness, but she finally rejected it and encouraged Frodo to carry this task as a dutty appointed to him and to no other. Gollum also suffered to consequences of the Ring from the beggining when he killed Deagol, the true trajic story here is that of Smeagol who suffered for 500years of solitude and rejection, and at the end he was almost enslaved by the Ring to the point of trying many attempts to kill Frodo, Smeagol is the true anti-hero caus evil grew in him as an unwilling slave of it. But at the end blindedly fell into lava with his precious.
When the violinist has the time to wink his eye to the public at 4:12 :D As a tenor I had my own business and never realised that violins are excluded from the End of all things so much :D
I watched part 1 with my mom a few years ago, and we had planned to also find opportunities for the other movies. But we didn't make it to part 2 and 3 anymore. :'( Now she is gone forever. But she really liked seeing it with the score played live. :)
Always loved fact that Gandalf comes with 3 eagles. One for Gollum.
😂
It’s true. He sent one for Smeogol just in case he didn’t turn on them.
Hmmm... I'd say one for him, one for Frodo and one for Sam
@@sebastiencottier bro use your brain gandalf is on the eagle
Oh man, wow
I sang in this :)
I’ve never been to a “In Concert” before but I would too

Well you did wonderfully. I’d love to see one of these. Had the opportunity once and I regret not being able to go
Get a real job.
I would spend A LOT of money to witness such a grand musical experience as this live.
Always get shivers when Gollum finally gets the ring and the female voice starts singing...
So true …. perfect timing of melodies throughout all trilogy…. amazing! Epic soundtrack!

@@AliasSchmalias Other than Star Wars, I agree. Howard Shore did not have to go this hard, but, boy, am I glad he did.
@@sguinn91once again a demonstration of the sheer passion and dedication that went into these films ❤

Man that key change to a minor key at 7:15 is such a heart wrencher
Just hear to say Happy 20th Anniversary to my favourite film of all time, this film (and trilogy) changed my life as an 8 year old kid.
One trilogy to rule them all! ❤❤
The best trilogy ever made. J R R Tolkien, Peter Jackson and Howard Shore made a masterpiece here.
The Lord of the Rings is the best

how does the director manage to stay focused and direct and just not watch the movie in awe?

The music is too loud! I can't hear the movie ffs!! Get rid of the orchestra.
ITS A CONCERT!!!

Ahhhh. So you'd rather sit listening to people talk. The soundtrack, or orchestra, is the heart of the entire movie. It adds to the emotional value.
