Fun Fact; Chef Christina Wilson said in an interview that the argument with Jen here when she was booted is "the most genuinely angry" she had ever seen Ramsay before when Jen was accusing him of sabotaging her.
Honestly I thought the same when I first watched the season because had brought her back and praised her and that's how it ended....

Gordon’s reputation is paramount to him, when he hears someone lying on his name he’s gonna pop that top.
I don't know what's more satisfying: Jen getting ejected after trying to ruin Gordon's reputation or Scotley's smug face collapsing when Trev was sent back in line.

Scotley never deserved to wear that coat. He was just a horrible person and worse chef. Never could be a team player.
Jen is the biggest joke in Hell's Kitchen, she had over a decade to mature, yet she was worse than before

Chef Christina is genuinely such a lovely woman. The way you could tell how worried she was about Chris before he’d even started speaking to her really shows how much she cares for the chefs around her. She gives the best advice too. I’m glad she won S10 and I hope she goes far in life.

Yeah really. Managing a business is more than just producing a product and/or experience. It's recognizing the strengths and limitations of the team. She absolutely did the right thing in giving him the space to admit to himself and others that he didn't have the strength to continue on, and needed genuine help. In what world is a competition more important?
I'm sure in culinary she encounters this in the chefs under her more often than other industries. She's definitely the ultimate professional in this situation.
Gordon's moment alone with Chris is probably one of the most important ever in HK. He gets and angry and yells because he cares. But when he listens, shows his empathy, it's a beautiful thing. That hit me.

Same with his sit down with Robert in his first season, Chef Ramsey had been calling him 'Bobby' for the first few services and apologized for the emotions that name brought up for Robert.

@@davidfearis7335 Deep down? Screw that, hes a lovely person 90% of the time! He only gets angry and loses it like in these clips when people screw up things they should know. These guys are professional chefs, they shouldn't be fucking up basic tasks and when screwing up could potentially land someone in hospital, thats worth getting angry about.
Trevor might be an ass, but he doesn't lie. Nobody on his team liked him and they threw him under the bus, and he wasn't the strongest chef. But damn that man got bullied out of the show both seasons and still fought back.
If I remember right, Scotley started bullying Trevor, then it seemed like all the others just jumped on the bandwagon. I wouldn't have done that.
Yeah Trev is flawed and wasn't ever going to win because no matter how good of a setup, he wasn't stronger than the final two. And it goes without saying that part of the competition is exactly how well you can get along with a team of people you don't really know, because that's exactly what you're going to be doing post-HK with a win, and in fact people there will probably hate you because you just got 250k and a golden pass from Gordon Ramsay to jump everyone. They will hate you for being placed above them. And you have to show you can culture and cultivate a team around you.
But I can't help but feel bad for him too. He's a funny guy and it never really felt like he had a chance on any team.

Scotley really was intimidated by Trev imo Trev wasn't perfect and never was hostile to Scotley from what I recall however he was just on him for no reason. It just looks like a man who always got his way because of his looks actually being against someone who might even be a slightly more talented then him

After Hell's Kitchen, Motto returned to his role of Executive Chef at Mansurs On The Boulevard in Baton Rouge and has raised money for a number of local charities with cookery events.

Good for Motto. I’m happy for him. Sometimes you realize that what you are trying to achieve is not what is right for you. Im proud of Motto for being brave enough to voice that realization that winning Hell’s Kitchen wasn’t for him at that time and that he needed to go back home. That’s a true winner in my book. Very honorable decision

I totally sympathize with Chris and his struggles with mental health. I also deal with depression, anxiety, and being on the ASD so Chris has my support.

Yeah, and it's really great to see how he opened up and stayed honest with what's going on in his mind right now. It take a lot of courage to talk about it to others. I struggle with chronic depression since I was 16 years old; I'm 28 now. I hope Chris got the help he needed and still gets the help. It's not easy dealing with anxiety, depression and other mental issues, but it's not impossible.

I have never heard of anyone suffering from these things. I also have never heard of anyone having nut allergy or lactose intolerance, anorexia, etc in India. We just can't afford these things

I've been battling depression and anxiety with OCD since I was a child and it's crippled my life in so many ways. I can't leave the house often, my brain wants me to end my life every day and I struggle to find a job that is understanding of my daily battle with my own head. It has nothing to do with money, it has everything to do with being able to talk about your feelings/emotions in a society that accepts and is working to understand it.

Gordon's face when Motto offered himself for elimination will be remorable especially when he had to take a sec before asking why.
Based on his reaction, Motto was definitely gonna be in the final 2 though I don’t think he would’ve beaten Ariel cos she was god tier in this season

It's astounding that Jen went through season 4 to being in the last 4 participant's top to being the second person to be eliminated in season 18
And burn the bridge with the entire HK family. Seriously, she just black balled herself from ever working in that circle. And from what I've gathered, the HK circle is pretty damn large. She basically sabotaged a major part of her career all over a minor ego trip.
She said that she was going through some hard times. Take it with a grain of salt cuz she got fired from a place cuz of her attitude before this

For all his yelling and cursing, when he faces situations like with Chris, he has genuine compassion for people.

I have a lot or respect and reverence for Chris. I feel like he could've gone pretty far had he not had to fight his demons. Prayers up Chris 🙏
The guy started struggling when Ramsay called him out for his lists, obviously to an outsider it comes across as disorganised and unprepared, but for Chris it was a coping mechanism for his memory in reaction to the head injury, I felt for the guy

I mean Bret also served raw lamb to a pregnant women which should have got him sent home immediately but Trev ran out of lives and only went home because he had too many bad services.
Now imagine Brett going to final and he will cook the rissotos and pastas on his menu. At least, Mia didn't put her Puerto Rican card every time and she only cooked Puerto Rican dishes on the finale to show her culture.
Not really Brett could cook more than just Italian tbf, he lead well on charity, had a pretty good pass, did well on fish episode 3 did well on meats episode 6 and 9 those aren’t even Italian foods. His signature dish that scored a 4/5 wasn’t even Italia and did well on the Chinese challenge.

⚫ Ariel: Since first time she was here, Ariel has grown tenfold as a chef. She is fiercely talented, extremely determited, and a commanding leader. I could not be more pleased to have her as my executive chef of Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas.

Trev losing was decided from the very moment that his team disliked him.
You can't win in Hell's Kitchen without the back of your team, ironic as it sounds. It's a competition and people work against each other, but at the end of the day Gordon is looking for a team player that can work with other chefs, not a lone wolf.
Doubtful, some of the HK winners were notorious for, well, not being team players in the slightest, the first winner was a great example, multiple times screwing his team
So Trev was in the wrong because he lost a challenge that cost his team and that justified them to hate him the entire season?
@@looinrimsno, that was just the very end, Michael was a good team player. However, he saw the opportunity to test Ralph's ability to do quality control and went for it, which was very smart. Doesn't mean he wasn't a team player

Chris I feel bad for, the accident hurt him badly, both physically and mentally, and the competition was just putting way too much mental strain on his already damaged mental state. I really hope that he got better in the end.

The way gordon immediately jumped to chrises aid. Saying he would handle getting chris a professional to talk too is so inspiring. Having someone that is that successful and is a litteral living legend in your line of work speak too you with such honest care must be very reassuring.
Imagine how dumb Jen felt when she saw in the episode that G. Ramsay wasn't in fact lying to her

it’s sweet they all wanted it to be Kanae and not Heather. Heather knew they didn’t want her there.
After Hell's Kitchen, Ariel did not take up the Executive chef position at Hell's Kitchen Restaurant at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada and instead became Executive Chef of Dos Caminos in NYC.
In May 2020 she became Vice President of Culinary at Del Frisco's Double Eagle, Del Frisco's Grille, and Dos Caminos.
Motto has to go down as one of the all time heroes. He was amazing on the show and showed honesty and sincerity not seen since the late Petrozza.

Heather being an OG I think helped boost her to get the black jacket, but I think Kanae was the better chef and had the most potential between the two.

After Hell's Kitchen, Bret was arrested in November 2018 for trafficking of synthetic products, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug equipment.
He featured in an article on lifestyle magazine Palm Beach Cannabis and as a Cannabis advocate this is hardly surprising he would have these items. Bret is a private chef.

I knew about Ariel winning Hell's Kitchen before watching the original season she was in, but I didn't realize at the time and I was so confused when she was eliminated

I was glad to see Jen eliminated. TBH I also never liked Mia. I was glad to see she lost. I do feel sorry for Trevor though. Scotley was a bully. He just bullied Trevor and I hated seeing that. I was glad to see Scotley eliminated. As well as Jose. I didn't like him either.
I still would've loved to see kanae in the last 4, because she would've done so much in the last few services.

After Hell's Kitchen, T became Executive Chef and later Director of Culinary Operations at the Draper Mercantile.
In March 2019 she became Executive Chef at Radford University. She opened her first restaurant ina+forbes in August 2019 and reviews are excellent.

Motto is probably the best personality to grace HK, and that’s saying something when you have people like Ji, Sterling, Milly and Robert who show up from time to time being as likable as they are.

I love Christina Wilson and Gordon Ramsay at this they actually understand how Chris was feeling. I literally went off on Tik-Tok because people were saying oh this was all for drama. As someone with mental problems you got to do what you do to keep yourself physically and mentally safe. I think Chris did the right thing for his own Mental Health. If no one don't want to believe me well just screw you. Yes, I get it this is a once in the opportunity but what is more important this once in a time of opportunity with Gordon Ramsay or your mental health getting worse and worse that you can't even take care of yourself that you feel safe anymore. I think it was the right call for Chris to leave the competition for his own Mental Health. Listen to Chris words before he leaves hell's kitchen. I think he did the right thing. If you don't like it you are more than welcome to leave🚪.

I think Jen honestly believed she was an epic top tier chef, as she started doing poorly she just got defensive and began deflecting blame on everyone. She sucked so bad in the show, i guess good for her if shes successful but shes still meh

Just based off of that elimination it's crazy Roe went home instead of Mia. It's crazy to think a finalist could get up in front of Ramsey, behave like that, and survive.
I get it but Roe went because she failed on a station that she was very very good at that in the form of the meat station. In HK13 she was the queen of the meat station and here on Gordon's daughter Tilly's Bday service she was a shambles that's why she went
I might be the only one who likes trev, since I can relate to him the most. Guy didn’t go culinary and went far in his season given that he had about as much experience as an apprentice. The guy has stepped up his confidence and his game compared to last time, not enough, but an improvement. He can lead a brigade and is rather well when u simply decide to adhere to him

Heather did not deserve the black coat- seriously! one of the few times throughout the series that i have completely disagreed with gordon's choice. She legit used her vet status and rode a wave. her winning over Kanae was shocking to me!

Some people don't know the whole story. Gordon has an excellent balance of professionalism, bluntness, and kindness.
