- A second Beast Mode test. I agree with the feedback that the Legend was not stable in the last test. This time is with a stable Legend and trying multiple settings. All ground conditions are different and this is not to show one better than the other but to try and help with the Beta update. Since I have some tough ground your results may be better or worse. It is good to get NOKTA the feedback before its released.

I don't have that issue with mine in our soils....Iam like him though I like dt better than beast mode. To me and my soil condition swing speed 3 is where it's at and I usually am able to run sensitivity max most times just according how trashy. Good video though.

Yeah the Versa seems to be a very good machine. The separation capabilities alone I've seen make it very attractive. Not to mention the spectrum analyzer on it that allows you to actually see what kind of signals are in your area.

the bE response seems to indicate that your ground masks signals heavily--makes them blend with the iron and ground. bE's strength is that it includes the background (Like ""A)" to make them stand out better. That its not doing that shows just how heavy your ground is. Its also noticable that when you cycle through "A," "G," and "F" the responses in all modes get much quieter--showing how much effect this heavy ground is having. Just some observations. In urban settings there's such a thing has electrically "hot" ground which is a different thing from mineralized. Its an added layer for the machine to process--viscosity. My point is that I don't think that your tests are 100% representive of the detector. Theres also the varible of iR in bE mode that might have helped bring up the NF tones by raising the "floor." . Very informative though thanks!
Thx for the feedback, yes my testbed is tough because it has a bunch of nails. It really tests the machines ability to pull from that contamination. Performance on all the machines I test here will perform better in clean ground.
Interesting. I can't help but think that getting all the Legend's super features to work is akin to the learning curve of the deus 2. Also, your test speaks volumes about the Legend's ability to.deal with emi, and how reducing gain to deal with emi is indeed a trade off.
Good point! More stuff now than the D2, easy to bounce around once you know it but definitely could be intimidating to new users.
Yeah, the Legend is a great first detector. It allows you to learn as you go. Now with these updates trying to blur the lines between the Legend and the "cost too much" detectors we have a detector that is as complex as highest end machines, but it is like they are creating a rock so big even they can't lift it. All that said, I love the Legend and have found great things with it. But, man, that rutus is a brutus, lol.
If you want a detector that does everything, you have to expect that you have to take a little time to learn all the functions, but I think it's worth the time!!

Hey Danny, it is. Its the target, the Double Score no IF will not hit it either, that dime is Anti Nokta. No idea why but I’m leaving it down there. D2, Manti and Versa like it. Maybe its the LG 30 size coil catching iron at the same time. That is definitely a possibility. I have other coils i can try.

Air test on a Morgan silver dollar on Beast and Deep target hit at 13". Real test this weekend gonna hit an old homeplace I have hammered for 2 years, Targets few and far between now, Have pulled alot of great targets. Hopefully will hit on some i have missed that are a couple inches deeper.
Good luck, people are saying overall its deeper even without Beast.

Really Impressed at the Versa. Are you in the states? Seems like it's not available here...I feel like Beast Mode provides a better VDI at depth, but not necessarily more. Stinks you have to tune the legend settings so much to get stability. I can typically run mine hot where I am at full sensitivity. Impressive test.

I went back to 1.11 and happy with the Legend like that. The tones were muddy with 1.15 and while DT is nice it did seem to add in some distortion.
I was not a fan of 1.15 either. One thing I noticed was allot more 1 and 2 vdis (in park/field) that i did not see before 1.15. From my testing it was like they modified, or something in the back end happened to park and field to perform like Beast. Weird..

In my opinion Legend already reached his maximum at 1.09 upgrade 1.11 brings more adjustments and beast is just a marketing in the real life you don't get any extra information because we dig practically every good signal and Nokta previously lower pinpointer function so even before if I here signal .. pinpoint could amplified it. In many situation I get just one unrepeatable bip with pinpoint I check if it is target or not and listen for size and shape and dig it or leave it. I currently have over thousand hours of detecting on Legend and current updates don't brings any difference they should mainly fix the bugs in software which are still there.
I am just trying to show it and help since everyone is a tester of the beta. I have seen a couple videos already that show the same as mine. If they leave it thats up to them. Its not my main machine but i was hoping for a cool Beast silver mode one tone pitch is not going to cut it.

Rutus is looking good. Does the Rutus lose depth and separation if you run in full tones?
No, its very fast and maintains a good non ferrous Id in iron with 3.7. It does not have a preset full tone’s currently but you can modify and make one. You can adjust each ID and the tone it gives. I mainly use two tones for relics but i have setup a couple of tone bin programs for coins and silver. You can save programs but you can also save custom tone profiles so you do not have to leave your program.
Did you try the manual ground balance, just for the sake of it? I just updated my Legend and will put it to the test at my old pounded local park.
Beast GB mode 1 and 2 does a ground grab by pumping.

If you are into Dual audio the Versa is great. Both are really good but i perfer the versa mostly for the dual audio which really helps on relic sites.

The Legend has the edge over the versa on high conductors in my soil. Low conductors like the small gold the versa has the edge since the last update.
Which coil is best for rutus versa?
Stock is good. If you relic hunt in the woods the small is better for that.

I think Legend has a higher level of completion than Versailles. Why go all in on bottle caps instead?
Both have a BC Filter adjustment that work similar.

Both mean the same. Different companies use different terms.

Everyone keeps compairing the Legend to Deus and Minelab detectors, you folks do realize that the Legend cost a LOT less money. All your comments must be very flattering to Nokta, but a bit frustrating to the other companies. I think Nokta really hit a Home Run with this amazing detector called "The Legend" dont you? ❤❤
Cost less, but a still top of the line performer and Noktas flagship. Competition is good for the end users and the competition. It helps improvement and keeps down prices 👍

@@raziss173 rutus versa (rutus in general) is an underrated Underdog and a tip in Germany. Its a polish Company with a great ownder who is also a detectorist.
imnot happy with best mode... maby it gives boost on deep iron... like medival swords or ww2 deposits in iron pots ;p, but im too lazy to bury big iron in deep whole, maby becouse i dont hunt for deep big iron... check the diffrence between normal gold fild and BE... thanks for your work :)

Weird that you can hit the indian at the same depth but not a dime. Usually it's the indians that sound worse due to their composition. That means the machine can hit it but that target is creating some type of issue. I do know that in my soil trying to hit anything 10 inches at only 20 sensitivity isn't going to happen. EMI or no EMI. I'm heading out a bit to play with it a bit myself at a spot I just gridded last weekend.
Thats a 10” nickel. Maybe i said it wrong. I think this dime is just a tough target. Not sure why. I tired the Double Score as well and no go on the dime. The versa and Manti hits it strong. Even better today since it rained all day. That Beast mode is odd. If nobody speaks up that means they are happy and it stays the way it is.
All tests so far seem to be pointing to the beast mode being the least mode. Can't see myself using it to be honest. Very disappointing. Hello Rutus.
Versa is awesome, sucks its not aval here. I have not shown much of it after a few “why you showing us a machine we cant get” haha

If Rutus got it right with Versa; Nokta will with Legend. The Versa crew have, "got'n off pritty" as we Cornish say in our bastardised English; "kentrow ev" (nailed it) in our actual language😉.

Others have mentioned the same but why? Why even bother to add a Beast Mode as a single tone option like relic on the D2 but give no tone options or filtering options? Who does that help but people who want to dig everything? That in itself I could understand but I am not seeing the added depth in my soil either. Actually seeing less. Cannot manually manipulate GB so you are stuck with the added noise that seems to come with it. Its an odd mode to offer in my opinion. But hey on the other hand its another update and the DT can help if used sparingly.
@@IffySignals My testing has been on in the wild nonferrous fringe targets, in my very mild ground, while switching between regular modes, DT, and BM on those targets. I've got a lot more testing to do with DT and BM, but I can say for certain, that neither is providing more depth in my tests so far. I am finding that on some fringe targets, DT and BM are separating the nonferrous signal from the ground signal and iron objects, better than regular mode.
DT is easy to use and allows all the tone options and other features to work with it. On some nonferrous fringe targets, it can turn a one way hit into a two way hit. Although if I set DT too high for my conditions, then erratic behavior occurs...but that's expected.
On the other hand, I'm finding BM to be something completely different, and a little perplexing. On some fringe targets, I can get it to hit on nonferrous fringe targets much better than regular mode and DT mode. Enough so, that on some fringe targets, BM is hitting well on a fringe nonferrous target that are iffy in DT, and almost invisible in regular mode. Although on those targets in BM, the ID is erratic and there is no tonal nuance... but it's still quite clear that BM is telling me it sees a nonferrous target. BM only has enough information on the target to conclude if it's nonferrous or not...that's it. It doesn't have enough information to give an accurate ID, nor does it have enough information to provide tonal nuance. But, under the right circumstances, I'm finding some nonferrous fringe targets that are missed in regular mode, iffy in DT mode, and a definite "dig me" in BM. A further clue to what BM is doing and even DT, is that it's effect seems to mainly be on low to mid conductors.
@@DIGA-m7q thanks for the feedback. I had it out last night and tried it on a field. The field is not that polluted and the BM did not really like the ground. I could not get it stable even using both GB 1 and 2. I then reset both GBs and it was more stable for a couple of mins by then all of a sudden got erratic again. Park and field were ok and DT was ok as well, but higher levels do make it get unstable and you can compensate both by lowering the sensitivity a bit but thats kind of moving backwards. Im more just trying to see what can make it more user friendly rather than finding a way to use it as i will most likely never.
@@IffySignals I see what you mean. I like DT, but BM is a head scratcher. Heck, sometimes it seems as though BM is behaving like a very low weighted SMF, other times it seems high weighted. Oh well, it's not as if it cost us anything, and no one is being forced to use it :) In addition, it's still in Beta, so both DT and BM may significantly change on the final release.

I not updating 1.14, I don't see much advantage in that. I wouldn't even call that a mode much less a Beast Mode. It's really chatty and irritating in my opinion and I really don't like the way it makes the tones sound. Thanks Iffy Signals for all your time. I'll just stick with 1.11 for now. Lol 😊
Beast mode is a mess that needs to be looked at unless its correct and just odd for me. DT is good though and can help.
