As a member of an orchestra for several years now, I am still amazed by the quality of talents Filipinos have. 7 out of 10 Filipinos can sing and most of them have not undergone any formal training in music or singing. They just discover their techniques, the range of their voices and breathing, all by themselves. Plus they only learn to read notes later and why I interviewed some of them, I asked them what made them sing so well, the common answer was PASSION and LOVE for the craft. Hi Tanya, yeah I wish she had grabbed that opportunity to go on Broadway. I heard (though I can't verify it) that her management was very controlling back in the 1990s & didn't want her to accept that offer from the producers of Miss Saigon. Also, Michel Legrand wanted to produce an album for her in France singing his classics, but that didn't work out either. Too many missed opportunities. I guess she didn't want to give up her career in the Philippines because she was already a star there. She's in her late 40s now & continues to perform, but it would have been wonderful if she was known internationally. Pls react to her duet of THE PRAYER with Martin Nievera. Btw u still look great without the make-up!

Ive heard that she was trained for misaigon in NY if i am not mistaken. But he went back home and didnt continue the role cuz she missed her family and her dad told her to just stay in the philippines. That when Jaime auditioned and got that role.
