For a collab movie. This was actually a well made fight between two serious characters. It was surprisingly well done

Iirc there was a comic book crossover in this same timeline, and Shredder got arrested but the Turtles and Batman needed his help. Shredder said he would help on one condition: he wanted a rematch with Batman.
Idk what that rematch looked like but Batman won and Shredder kept his word.

I love how earlier Batman said that he would have the advantage over Shredder using his utility belt, but in their rematch, right after getting hit one of his gadgets, Shredder IMMEDIATELY gets rid of his belt and gadgets and lays him out. If Batman didn't fake out Shredder by saying Cowabunga and getting Raph to assist, he'd be dead. And of course, that's part of the lesson of the movie.

In the comic version Batman and Shredder fought to a draw. I don't know why the movie felt the need to change it, yet keep the confrontation with the 4 turtles the same with Batman absolutely schooling them.

Canonically, Shredder has always been able to one v four the whole set of turtles, only losing out when up against Splinter, their teacher/master. Batman is superior to him on many fields being a master of oh so many. But when it comes to hand to hand combat without gadgets? Yeah Shredder's gonna win at least 7 times out of 10
