What's my story? An engineer, in love with his job, started teaching on the side. Got lucky. Impacted 1000s of lives. Had to finally leave his job to increase the impact surface area. Raised $5M funding to fix education. Is learning day and day about startups and building a valuable product.
How is it going? A decade of engineering helps in systems thinking and product building. Learning about Strategy, Marketing, People Management, and Finance on the go.
What am I building? Today, 25 million Indians prepare for government job entrance exams. They do it for years together. The probability of success is less than 1% but they still do it. Why? For the lack of a structured alternative to launch their white-collar career. I am building Invact to bridge this gap.
How? Follow me to know, it's a long story. I am telling it in parts every day.
I remember clearing 4 techinal rounds for a company and the company's CEO rejected me for having career gap .This mentality has be to be a crime.

Eliminating someone based on a gap year isn't a crime; it's a very easy tool for shortlisting. We're no one to tell them this is wrong or right. Companies also check this because it reflects how consistent you were in your career. It's similar to how we all know our college degree doesn't matter, but companies still want it because it shows you've had the commitment to do something for four years. It's true that some people have their own personal reasons or health issues, but it is what it is.
I agree with you to some extent but think of 3 or 4 months of career gap as one is taking a little while to get the job or some personal issues... even those cases are not being considered... coz life is not from....job to job right....

Prepared for UPSC and state services examination but not get in the final list
Mean while I developed proper website for state services preparation and it ranked for almost 30-40 keywords.
Similarly in my college days I created lots of project which I have mentioned in my resume too
Now my question is how to reach HR and how to pitch them ....

I am 27 and doing BCA from IGNOU final year. I have wasted many years, I was severely depressed I had to deal with some personal and family issues and went through a phase of substance abuse but I have never stopped learning new things, I know Android Development (Java, XML), Web Development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP) and currently I am doing a bootcamp on Data Structures and Web Development with React hoping to get placement. I did two freelancing project 1. Built Interactive Map for a company's website. 2. Built Chrome extension for a eCommerce retailer. I love building softwares and learning new things especially if it's Tech related.
I am trying hard to get my life back, I don't know whether I will be able to get a job or not. Please help me. I am very anxious about my life. I don't know where I am heading. I wish I had seen your videos before.

Thank you even i have 2 years gap due to prepare for ca exams and when i failed and go for interview at MNCs then i realised i was able to clear all assessment test but was lacking to substantiate the Gap in final round of interviews 😢

I graduated in 2022. Since then, I have applied for many jobs but have not received any interview calls. For the few interviews I did get, I wasn't successful because my English is not good. I currently have a two-year gap in my resume. Can I still get a job after this? I am planning to start my job search in January. Is it possible to get a job 2.5 years later without experience? I have completed my Btech in 2017 in mechanical. When I was in a last year of my Btech I started playing cricket professionally because I was very passionate and i really wanted to build my career in Cricket but unfortunately after lockdown things changes a lot. Even After giving 5-6 years in cricket I have to quit. One of my friend suggested me to do some kind of course to get job in IT field. I opted for Data Science, and I started my journey in this field in FEB 2023. After completing few things I was suggested to find the job as Data Analyst. So, I started applying but no one is considering me. Now after watching this I will try to draw "Lambi Lakeer" . Thank You So Much For this Video ❤
hey brother...Which course did you go for ? How is the job prospects for fresher to get entry level Data Analyst job after completing online courses....EVen I'am Mech Grad from 2019 batch, 2 yrs work exp in between...then went for preparing Govt jobs . Unfortunately things did not work out even after giving my full efforts so now with 2 years gap....started a bit of Data Analytics preparation from online sources a month back, but jobs scenario seems very down presently. is it worth to continue, or go to some other field within IT??

my story - 2013-2015 i couldnt pass my BCA graduation cause i was busy looking after my father's business and in 2018 business went downhill lol then i did Bsc in animation and vfx and i got job in small company (not registered) as an ux designer in 2021- ( 😂 did frontend, motion graphics & graphic design, UI-UX) for 10k per month and i left that company after 1.5 years and now i am doing UI/UX freelancing - earning 50k per month but i have this gap fear for next job :( this is my story guys :( now i am learning python and sql for data engineering i dont know if i am able TO make transition to data engineering

Hi sir I'm so motivated after watching your video.🤩 I left my job last October due to some personal reasons, and after 1-2 months, I started applying to companies. In seven months, I've had only four interviews. I cleared some, but they offered salaries lower than what I was earning. Now, it's been seven months, and every day I apply to 10-20 companies without any response. I have now started working on projects. Company laid off after a major operation on nov 2023
And started searching from April this month and i have got hardly 3/4interviews
Preparing but feeling down again nowas most companies disconnect call knowing 7+months of gap
Why do these recruiters make a fuss of about only a 7 month gap ?
Meaning agar kisi ke paas enough surplus hai aage bina job ke rehne ke liye and that person leave the job to enjoy life for 6-7 months and wants to go back to job after that period why these companies have so much nakhre to look at you ?

HR अगर थोड़े बहुत question पुचले तो उसमे भी उन्हे idea आसकता है की candidate रेलेवेंट है या नहीं, फिर जब इनके पास fake experience लेके जाते है तो interview schedule भी होता है और job भी मिलती है, अगर उन्होंने यही काम पहले किया होता तो वही candidate को बाहर से fake experience लेने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती, जितना tension fake experience का होता है उस वजह से interview देने अक्सर गलती होती है

I left my job because of poor work environment which I can't share in an interview. Also, I thought of learning some other skills to switch my career. Mechanical engineering 2017 worked as an inside sales executive, us it recruiter 7 years of graduation but still learnt MERN stack development and trying to get a job.
