I am trying to remember a particular commercial that appeared on the Cartoon Network channel during "The Jester" Show in the 1990's. The commercial was part of a short film called Prehistoric Beast. ln the opening scene, it had two dinosaurs, and it looked like one was a T-Rex walking on crutches. It may have possibly been an American Express commercial - but I'm not sure. If not American Express, does anyone know what sponsoring company created it? I've tried my very best to explain the details to you so you will identify the sponsoring name of the commercial. Please send your reply back to me... and thank you so much for all your help. Good luck!
The Jester was the mascot of Cartoon Network when it first started out.
And I'm imagine that I'll be a mascot of Cartoon Network next because I'm a Cartoon Network Guy and I like a Cartoon Network a lot!
The last one was aired until 2002 on CN Poland.
april 2006*
The bumper at 1:33 gave me nightmares as a kid XD
From the creator of Ed Edd n Eddy
that concession stand lady was 90s THICC.
Awesome!!! There's finally a full collection of these bumpers!!!
The same guy who did Ed edd n eddy did this guy
Great bumper even though i didn't grow up in the 90s
1:33: Finally! Now I can see this sign off in all it’s glory!
I never knew it turned into TNT...
1:31 When I was a kid, I never knew the voice was saying "That's gotta hoit!"
GOOOOD, GOOOOOD TIMESps: the background music is fantastic
wow, CN used to be a lot more nickelodeon like. This era was before me though, ending around or before the time I was born.
1:47 That's how I see the old TNT logo every night. I now see the new one like it doesn't fit.
I saw that bumper every night before 2001 when it became a 24 hour channel.
0:15 I could’ve sworn I heard Patrick’s scream!
Animated, produced and directed by Danny Atanounci at A.K.A. Cartoon. Maded before he went to create Ed Edd n Eddy in 1996. 😉
There’s actually a second version of the first one.
The jester is always playing jokes on people!
You left the one where the jester bounced off some clotheslines, and you got the counter lady reactions backwards.
You’re missing the Christmas bumper
DTONNS!
1:33 Welcome to Earthbound 🤣
dang! that gave me nightmares when i was a little girl!
0:30 You're welcome
MrAnimenerd93 I thought the same thing lol
Doug Parker must have voiced The Jester here; he sounds pretty close to Terrorsaur.
That last one though. AKA the handover.
Jester used to scare the crap out of me
I remember this but it was 1996 and it eventually was only used for Tom and Jerry after a while.
LOL HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN WHEN I 1ST WATCH THOSE?!
All I gotta say about that Jester dude is: Me-OUCH!
OW! THAT'S GOTTA HOIT!!!
I like the Handover yo TNT
You like the bumpers
The Cartoon Network Bumpers
I feel bad for the jester.
Quin Cukoo Me too.
At the last one where he gets eletrecuted when he flips the switch to the TNT logo, he looks like he's been attacked by Pikachu from Pokemon. LOL
Well no wonder. Everyone who is the sandbag of their show are sympathetic
I agree.
Wait, those shorts and the character was made by Ed Edd n Eddy's creator?
I love these
So basically he got in the theaters for free…
So that time TNT was doing what Adult Swim does today
Is it wrong for me to think this should be used for Cartoon Theatre?
No of course not, it would work perfectly for that.
The jester is getting hurt just to get pop corn? Who even gets pop corn for cartoons?
Rotten Raspberry the same people who view cartoons in a cinema.
