By sorting out I hope you mean a private smelter. I wouldn't say a word and if someone asked what I was doing?, I'd say digging Ginseng. I never understood prospectors screaming when they found gold. I'd gripe and complain about no gold right along with them.

They did the same thing in AZ/NM. A hoard was located and reported in the 60s and within weeks the land was declared _"Military reservation"_ and added to the White Sands property. The people that reported it snuck back into the property and the area had been dug out and was empty. Tire tracks headed back into White Sands.

Royal family or the government? It would be ridiculous if it went to the royal family. But I doubt they would get to resell it for their own profit even if it did go to them. More than likely it would end up donated to a museum or kept intact to preserve it for the future.

I dowsed the location of 16 tons of Mexican Trabuco's Gold. It is on private property with the Indian Reservation on one border. I would contact the land owner, but then I would be cursing the land owner and myself with the Federal Government confiscating the gold with possible prison sentences for everyone involved. If the Federal Government gave the landowner 5% and 5% for us, I would lead the Federal Government to all the 10 foot deep holes it is buried in. 14.5 tons of gold to the Federal Government with .75 ton of gold to the land owner and.75 ton to us would be reasonable, but we know that the Federal Government has never been reasonable with a situation like this. Go figure !

The Paradas shouldn't be criticized or ridiculed because they did what they were legally required to do when they located the treasure, which was to notify the FBI apparently (even as corrupt as they were) before being allowed to dig.
An interesting detail is that the FBI hired their own detection company, which then confirmed the Paradas previously discovering a large(several ton) cache of precious metal in the exact location of where they'd already indicated to the FBI it was.
The FBI are the foolish ones in this saga, imho, b/c they actually presumed they'd be getting away with stealing it and then lying about ever having found it. With their reputation as an agency already at an all-time low, this was just another example of how urgent a major cleanup of ALL corrupt, taxpayer funded agencies the moment Trump gets into office, truly is.
