My feedback: I have apnea and I could control it using didgeridoo. However, it does not work if you don’t make it as a kind of meditation exercise too. In my case, I was using it, my apnea was very stable, but when started doing it while watching TV, it stopped working for the apnea…. It is my feedback. By the way I have a didgeridoo made by my self.

These exercises make the muscles in my face that I never even knew I had feel like a day after the gym. Lol. My CPAP machine and mouth tape get my AHI down to 2-3. But it fills my gut up with gas

Childhood and teen years of sucking a thumb has raised the roof of my mouth quite high. I think this may have pulled the soft palate area forward. Can you address IF and HOW thumb-sucking would affect the airway. When I push my tongue upward and then pull it toward the back of my maxilla and throat, I feel it presses the sides of my upper jaw outward. Is that helpful or harmful in enlarging my airway? Any studies you know of about thumb-sucking in youth related to sleep apnea later in life? Sleep tests have shown I have sleep apnea, and I am currently using CPAP.

Until I make that video, I would check out Weston A Price's work. You'll have some answers there! Here is a paper to get started with what you've asked: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17695052/

This could be done with balloons too? One will just have to make sure that the push is coming from the cheeks, not lungs.

Correct. I went with a straw because I would imagine more people have straws than balloons in their house. However, I am still awaiting that research from the balloon and straw research lobbies (😅).

I can inflate cheeks without breathing in. Isnt that the same? I can skip that breathe in part. When i inflate cheeks ..that is air right? Or air takes up that bigger volume.
