Yes. We call this technique, crochet braids. A few tips are listed below to help this look better. 1. Wet Caucasian hair to braid better and tighter. 2. Crochet downward. Meaning, slip the hook top down in to the braid and crochet that way. 3. Use smaller pieces of hair towards the front. It looks bulky and fake when using big pieces. 4. Learn the illusion method or hidden knot method for the front. 5. Consider leave out to make it look better. Cool that you're teaching women how to do crochet braids! There's a lot of videos to help you get better! Love that color on her!
@@propogandalf y'all wear white people's hair and now you're mad that they are doing crochet braids lmao get over yourself or wear your hair natural and stop stealing our hair.
You very talented and you give clear and easy to follow instructions. Adding artificial hair to change up the style for Cosplay or a special occasion is fun and pretty. Don’t listen to negativity…Heads of hair around the world thank you. 😂😊💜 Your daughter is adorable too, mine enjoy watching your channel. 💚
I used to use this crochet hooks in crafts as a kid, and this is a fun innovative way to use it. My chief concern would be try and making that tight straight braid. I can just not French braid (*especially on myself*) or anything like that to save my life.
Have you tried doing lace braids (the kind she's doing here, where you only add hair from one side)? I'm *MUCH* better at those than 'regular' French or Dutch braids! And weirdly, I'm better at it going ear-to-ear on my kid's head vs forehead-to-nape, haha. I want to get a mannequin head to practice, cuz my kid does NOT like me to play around with trying new styles on her, heh.
I love every single hair style that you create, you are amazing!! I go to work every day with a different unique style from watching and learning some of your wonderful techniques and ideas many of my colleagues ask where did I learn how,and I say "sweethearts hair" and now we come to work every day and the office and most clients vote who had the best hair that day!!
I love this! Could you show us an alice band plait from one ear over the head to the other ear, by adding in natural colour hair in order to volumise fine thin long hair? I want to see final result before trying it on my own hair ❤❤❤
Wow !!! What a great way to add a bit of fun to one's hair. Very beautiful and easy to follow. Kindly advise how you crimped the synthetic hair without burning it.
@@SweetHeartsHair Thank you so much for replying. I love your channel and every hairstyle you teach us. Keep up the excellent work. Love and hugs from Canada.
Oh my gosh this is just the cutest! And it should be super easy to do as long as you can get the initial braid super even at the crown. I love it and that mermaid color looks amazing on her! 💙💜💙💜💙
Wow. You're not supposed to see the knots. Also they are loosening and look bulky, try using less hair so the knots will stay tied. There are literally hundreds of videos of black women doing crotchet braiding over the last 10 years. You should check some out and get some tips on how to perfect the style.
Omg so cute it’s very much like Deniris of game of thrones the plait part I’m 60 I have long hair wish I was younger it looks like so quick to do I a pink girl, but mermaid colours would lush
Awesome video! This looks amazing, I’d love to try it on my daughters hair. Where do you get the hair from? I’ve found the latch hook but can’t find the hair?
Actually I’ve found the hair and whilst looking I came across a seller that has used your pictures from your feed in braids, hope they have your permission 🙈 xx
Hi love….I see you’ve found it now…but definitely go for the stretched hair when it’s synthetic, otherwise it’s really dry and sort or sticks to itself ❤️
I'm assuming as long as the hair is, the weight of it probably holds the slip knot in pretty well. Now if it was shorter, you might have trouble with it falling out for sure
Thank you for this video, adding it to my list. Some product would lay it down better, and if you want to keep it a couple of days you will need to start the festival with the hair tied or braided, definitely gel those edges, go to messy fun buns or bubble braids the next day, and finish with HarleyQuinn ponytails on day 3. It's very cute and colorful. Glowfolx, can you dance in it?
Just because black women has been doing this hairstyle for decades does that mean others shouldn’t even try? Seriously? 😂 ridiculous 🤦🏽♀️ don’t come @ me I’m not even white
That’s terrible! First of all you need to go through on more time so they don’t fall apart and close to your part you want to do an invisible stitch where you go through the hair like normal but only let one out so the hair covers the knot. It should be undetectable! People please go see other videos because crochet braids or hair should not look like this!

How fun is this?? I love it! And it adds color quick and easy and it's not permanent.

Awwww that’s AMAZING! Made my day 🥰❤️
Well actually honey she didn't create it. It's a hair technique used by African American women for many years.
The tool is a latch hook. It might not come up if you search crochet tool.
I love her hair. She looks like a mermaid.
I’ll put it in the description!! 😘😍😍
I forgot to add I used that hook to make shag carpet designs back in the day. 🤣 Same method really. This should be second nature to me. Haha

How many braids did you do? Was there any non braided hair underneath? How long can this style be worn for? Thanks a bunch!
Love it! Now I'm wondering how I can do a braid underneath to get a peek a boo color effect 🤔
I would assume you could section off the crown and pin it out of the way and do the braids just below that
It's cute, if you go through the braid on top, it will be less bulky. And use smaller pieces.
Wow !!! What a great way to add a bit of fun to one's hair. Very beautiful and easy to follow. Kindly advise how you crimped the synthetic hair without burning it.
That’s how it came! It’s stretched synthetic so it’s much more silky too and less likely to tangle ❤️

You can get hair from any beauty store. Like Sally’s or Asian hair stores, etc etc.
Actually I’ve found the hair and whilst looking I came across a seller that has used your pictures from your feed in braids, hope they have your permission 🙈 xx
Thank you, I’ve found some on Amazon. My daughter will love this for dress funny for money at school on Friday for Red Nose Day 🥰

Love it!! Do this knots stay in pretty well? How do they last
Until you take them out really! The model didn’t sleep in them…but you could try a silk cap to see if that would work ❤️
Wowww❤️❤️❤️
Love this. What’s the hair you used called?
Stretched synthetic hair!
Will this last ? It looks likw the knots will loosen easily
Actually they aren't locked in and may slip or end up very loose. But I like the idea
I'm assuming as long as the hair is, the weight of it probably holds the slip knot in pretty well. Now if it was shorter, you might have trouble with it falling out for sure
How many bundles did you use to achieve this look?
Very nice result ! Where can we buy quality crochet hair extension like yours ?

That is not how it supposed to look for the front u should have went thinner to blend it naturally it’s too bulky 😂
Wow! Such a clever idea! I love this!
I’m so glad!
Black women have been doing this since the 90s she just stole it educate yourself

Amazon hun…I searched for synthetic stretched hair ❤️
How many packs did you use for this look?
What brand of hair did you use?
You gotta do this one again but maybe more rows next time with maybe some large Dutch braids hiding the part!
Black women been doing latch hook hairstyles for the past decade
Yes and we call those “tight braids” CORNROWS!
Exactly she’s just stealing like they always do
At least two decades because I did my cousins hair in high school and I haven’t been in high school for almost 25 years

@@SweetHeartsHair
This would be more appropriately named Latch Hook Extensions. It's really cool though.
And what is the best way to remove/ undo it?
You just undo the slip knot…I have to confess I have zero patience so I VERY carefully snip the hair 🙈

lmaoooo it’s so funny how many white people think she created this….

واااااااااااو💋
I would use beewax as adhesive yarn to hair at root.
Me gusta mucho como lo haces tu amor
I'm assuming that this hair style is for a one night only type of thing or you were just showing these gigantic pieces for learning purposes only
Thus is NOT how crochet is supposed to look. The knots shouldn't be so big and loose
Esse cabelo e Jumbo?como separar sem embaraçar 😢?

This looks interesting lol
It looks like a latch hook.
That tool you're using is called a latch hook. It is not a crochet hook. Too complete different techniques.
Where did you learn this from? 😂
Cool idea, but it kinda looks stupid with the natural hair colour underneath, just buy a wig and put your natural hair in a net
That’s terrible!
