Based upon the comments I’ve seen, it doesn’t matter about the reason why you chose this crochet method, you have amazing skills. I love your style of work and the patience you put in to make a happy, satisfied client. May your gifts and skills continue to grow, inspire and motivate others. Thanks for sharing!❤❤❤
I think she is showing this technique for non braiders or new braiders. If you can't braid really good, then this would be an excellent alternative to braiding the natural hair down. Just remember not to make the rubber bands to tight. ☺️❤️🙏🏾🙌🏾
They deliberately ignore these comments so they can continue to bash and complain about the rubber bands lmao.. then their advice is to "just practice" knowing full well it's a lengthy process to learn braiding.. and it's like what?! Don't wear the hairstyle until I've mastered braiding? Another reason why people opt to do their own hair is because of the many times hairdressers make you wait, cancel and reschedule on you, hoping they have the right hair in stock if not bringing your own.. all of those things can make getting your hair done for you a tedious process. And then comes the thought "might as well just do it myself" and then we end up on these kinds of yt videos lol.. videos that are specifically catered to those who aren't good at braiding and/or new to braiding so I don't understand why braiders are so upset.. this video was not made for them in mind lol.
@micheleturner573 I mean yeah if you plan on dragging your head along the floor and rolling around in the garden. Maybe you're planning on getting freaky and your partner wants to rub your head into the carpet like a dog that pi$$ed. 🤷🏾♀️ I don't see how the hair would end up on the floor otherwise but if this is just not secure enough for your needs, the regular braiding method is still available as well as hairdressers :)
@@rimonique thanks, I don't typically roll around in the garden. It is not uncommon to see in various places where someone's crocheted hair has slipped out, no need to take umbrage over this observation.
One of THE best crochet tutorials I've ever seen. This method is perfect for people who either cannot braid well, or may be suffering from arthritis or other inflammation issues. Besides that, it ultimately possibly saves you and the client time; and saves the client more money! The end result is beautiful in my opinion. Great job!
Wow!! I love this method. It places way less stress on scalp and hair thus a more protective style than cornrows. My favorite partis the front. The hairline looks natural. Thank you for sharing.
This will surely prevent the breakage and entangling which comes with corn rows. We just need to make sure the elastic band is not on too tight. Good job!
Ive been doing my hair that way, without the stocking cap, myself for the last year, but I use braided hair. My natural hair had shedding and baldness and is now short, so I started this technique after a dream. My hair has grown back thick like it used to be, and the thinning has filled in a lot. I refresh and allow my own hair and scalp to breathe every 3 weeks and use oil and vitamin supplements and re-apply. Takes about an hour for me to band and insert hair.
A perfect style you can wear while you are locking your natural hair...... I think🤔???? It's definitely a good way to save money on the wavy hair she created. GENIUS 🎉
Firstly: ****BRAID-LESS**** As in NO BRAIDING INVOLVED. Why is that so hard to comprehend!? The amount of illiterate individuals being rude or giving backhanded compliments or saying what you would or would not do is ridiculous: well, luckily YOU know how to braid, so this video was never meant for YOU. My goodness, this talented woman is helping those of us who did not grow up braiding hair and/or those who are "tender-headed" and want alternative ways to do their own hair and/or others. No one cares what YOU would do. Clearly this woman is creative and her clients are happy. Just a bunch of Debbie downers giving unwelcomed "me,me,me" critiques. Yes, they have hair already curled and twisted and all that; we know. She chose to do it this way, oh well lol. 😂😂😂 I saw a video of hers from over a year ago, have never done hair in my life (especially my own): but my sisters have always done it for me since I was a child. Well, I cannot depend on them and their BS, so 2 wks ago, I did my own hair for the first time ever and the amount of compliments I have received is crazy! Been trying to teach myself how to crochet my own hair for a looooong time and my alopecia makes it that much more difficult. But all around, my hair grew long enough for me to take tips from a few old videos and apply them and it worked. Going to try it next time using the mesh cap. So thank you to the PERSON WHO RUNS THIS PAGE for the helpful tips. My crochet Senegalase twists are down my back and you can't even see my big ass crop circle at the crown of my head from my alopecia going into overdrive and my hair falling out again. Just know there are plenty of us who have learned something new and will continue to watch and absorb and apply. Out here making our ancestors proud: Thank YOU! 😊❤❤❤
Glad I saw this....a true protective hair style especially for those whose hair can't take the the pulling and breakage that comes with traditional crochet styles. Thanks for the inspiration. BLESSINGS TO YOU!❤
I have a really short cut with shaved sides so I used the method that you used to do the front of her hair all over the the top of my head where I have enough hair to create a mohawk look....It was amazing and everyone loved it. I tried several different methods but your method is the only one that worked well. Thank you again!
What I like about this style it has the potential to last much longer through the up keep if one chose to go swimming and washing the hair , various styling because of the foundation. Netting and no tension from cornrows. Thumbs up. Worth trying for this summer if you want a new method. The foundation is everything. Looks secure. Thanks for sharing. Looks like it took some time. 15:51
Interesting technique🤔 I like that it has more of a natural look at the scalp than a lot of God awful crochet styles I see. Also the versatility of how it can be styled👍🏼
This is exactly what I needed. The cornrows never last on me. This easier and faster to put up and keep neat and take down. Thank you, thank you. Also you're amazing.
I LOVE it!! Shes so pretty and youre so talented. My hair is super fine so the more strands that can be grouped together for added strength, the better. I might be able to have a crochet style for the first time in years now. 🥰
Interesting. I can cornrow and braid and have crocheted my hair in the past. But I've learned something from this at least for the front. And also I never used the net so something to consider for the future. The only thing I recommend changing is treating synthetic hair with human hair products. It's literally synthetic fibre. The minute I switched to detergent and fabric softener ... oh yes. Makes a hell of a differnce and a hell of a lot more sense lol.
Girl when I look at the work that you are doing first I said to myself why are you doing that isn't it easier to just crochet here but when I tried it I find it is so easily and I finish braiding my hair less than 2 hour or so I couldn't believe it that's a very easy method you created thumbs up to you
I love the ART OF US'Z. This is beautiful and patience in passion @100 . I missed doing my own styles. I would prepare the night b4. Every one of my clients walked out differntly than the other. Never had same style on 2 people at a time.
I can’t cornrow well and was trying to figure this out in my head but without the rubber bands. Now I see how. Instead of rubber band I will plait it an bring it back. I just couldn’t figure out the first braid but this solved it for me. I know this is braidless but it still helped with my issue. Plus I would micro knot the hair to lock it in place so hair doesn’t slip. Still working that part out 😂Thanks ❤
Great Concept but I would have the Worse Headache with all those Rubberbands. And I see the Removal Losing alot of hair in the Process for some people. All Those rubberbands would be a no for me. But Thanks for Sharing.
I'm hair braider I can braid others people hair perfectly. But I can only braid mine in the back this is awesome now I know I can use the rubber bands in the front and braids the back thank you

Damn I know that girl had a headache, all them tight rubber bands and the sewing. It's a "no" for me. Her hair came out nice tho

This is beautiful and seems like a way to keep the scalp stress free
Except all the damaging rubber bands in the front.
Them rubber bands be popping
Stress free???? Lawd🤦🏾♀️

None of that is stressed free when it's first put in.
By the time you do all this work wouldn’t it be easier/faster just to make cornrows?
Agree.it’s a no for me. To much unnecessary work 😅😅😅😅
But I can't braid😢
How long it stayed in bowl

Some time but some people have difficulty with braiding and this is simpler for some
I've seen rubberband methods before but this is by far my favorite version!

Yeah this doesn't look stable or healthy for her natural hair and it seems like more work! To each it's own💛

Great way for ladies who may not know how to braid!
I'm watching this & amazed at the dedication & patience put into doing Afro hair is amazing 👏.
Love the braid-less way! You are a good teacher because now I can do this on my own head. I will leave it as is, without crochet! Thank you
Did this on myself because I have 4 inches of hair, and it works perfectly. I put in twist. Been 2wks now.
You could also skip some time by keeping out the front and pulling the rest of your hair into a low ponytail, twist the ends down and crochet on top.
This is a great hack for me.. I’m choosing styles that can help my hair grow. This is perfect for in between wig wearing.
The model is beautiful and stunning! Such a Barbie.
This front method is a game changer! Can't wait to try
Your client natural hair is so cute and you have done justice to the crocheting 👏

thank you! as a studying cosmologist, this is very helpful
Oh wow, another rubberband masterpiece. For those with thyroid complications and shedding issues, this should be a no-go too.
If you have thinning or shedding hair it will be compounded by this method
That technique is nice. The way you tacked the cap. Instead of stitching it (as usual). You saved hair. I Love This. ❤
I love doing this style. And people be amazed when i tell them how i did it..❤
