Thank you for this Video! Collecting my black E61 520d LCI 2008 / 188k miles in few days. Can’t wait. :) Best of luck with continuous and happy ownership and plenty more miles to come!
The look of satisfaction on your face at 7:25 as you depress the starter button and look right into the camera makes me want to buy this car lol. Good review mate. I've just bought one of these. I would have preferred to see a more thoroughly sustained burnout for the intro at 0:02 though.😁
I have a later, face-lifted E91 320D, M Sport, automatic, sunroof with the same upholstery. Mine is a 2017 car which I have had for just over 2 years now. I did like and agreed with your review, really summed this model up well. I don’t know if you still have it 2 years on - this is my eighth BMW and I think I am going to keep this one - it ticks so many boxes .
ive got the Msport 320d business, 10 plate brilliant car, fast reliable looks great with Msport alloys. black leather, sat nav cruise control, full BMW dealer history.....
i got same model but in M Sport, i changed my indicator lights to LED but brough silver instead of blacked out for that OEM look, defo worth the upgrade
I've had EGR go, rocker cover leak, passenger occupancy sensor fail. Fan went. Obv few sensor changes and breaks needed doing. Handbrakes in them are terrible. It's a 2011 and had it nearly 2 years. Edit: and apprt from that it's been a really nice runner
Just buy one, the only thing is the timing chain might come loose and need an engine rebuild budget a grand to fix. Or find a pre 2007/08 car with more reliable engine.
@@MacklandsMotors wish I had the updated version of the CDTI means cheaper road tax... So might have to swop for the cheaper tax as mine is £331 a year I beleive.
i was on the fence about getting the same car, after this review i made them an offer. thanks. i cant see any difference between this and the Aussie one.
@@MacklandsMotors I just bought an e91 with the beige upholstery and it’s my least favourite of all the colours available. Light grey or saddle brown or black… I think I would even have preferred red.
@@MacklandsMotors it was what I wanted in every other way. Here in Canada AWD BMW touring models with manual transmissions are very rare. This one was in good shape and I can live with the torrent of beige even if it reminds me of a care home hallway.
A clear owner's view of a car on my shortlist; you deserve more views. 👍 The channel name could be a dealership which might not be helping. 😱 Maybe motoring instead of motors? 🤔
Just bought e91 320d 177hp 2007.12 model today. Really liked how it drives and definitely smoother than older m47 163hp engine. Kinda scared about horror stories of chain failures with no signs and noises. Wondering how is that sounds and how to check if chain needs to be replaced?
got the 2008. Bought it at 170k miles. Still going at 320k miles. Had 3 services and spent around 2k on it, bought it for 3k. Been a great car.
Thanks for that, I’m setting out in 30mins.. 2h drive to view a 07 e91 touring :)

Hi mate, your review of this model bmw convinced me to buy one myself. It's a 2010 320d business class and cost me 1500 quid.
That's cheap
What mileage
Thanks for the video, im looking at a 2010 318d estate this evening and excited to see how it goes!
Good one mate.......I have a 2014 320D M Sport no need for anything els.............
Another brilliant video!

Excellent review young man
Pretty nice review. I watched this before purchasing mine. Never owned a bmw before. So ... thanks :D
watch out for timing chain issues. This engine is famous for being unreliable if you don't do the services properly
How about engine reliability? 130/135 kw? Timing chain problems?
It does not need expensive premium oil. As long as its bmw longline 04. I buy mine from asda no problems so far..
Excellent Video Lewis, another car I would add to my wish to own list.
Thanks! Want to swap for your 75? 😜🤣 My engine is the updated version to your CDTI

Can you please go over which items are beige again? ;)

Fair point, maybe it was a retired rally driver that ordered it new.
How has the interior held up i am currently in buying 328i wagon with this interior tho.. i feel the color will wear faster than darker colors.

My surname is Mackland and these are my motors so I thought it went pretty well.
I could be a dealership one day 😁🤞
Nice one Lewis
belt or chain for this model?
Chain for the diesel
@@MacklandsMotors thanks, didnt know that. What's about rust problems for E91? (2008 and up)
Quality video quality car!😁
what would be a realistic estimate for yearly maintenance costs?
All depends on your mileage. You can do a service yourself at for about £80, set aside about £100 tyre wear, road tax, insurance and mot.
what would an estimate cost of yearly servicing
Good job

Absolutely fine

Nice car but interior colour is awful. Not for me.
I like it because it light and airy, not a fan of driving an all black cave. Tbh it was the interior that drew me to that particular car
