Lisa, you mentioned the quilt shops in CA that are going out of business. I think the problem is largely that the quilts they showcase don't change and are beginner level. If a shop wants to keep going they need to inspire. I go into quilt shops and there is not a single quilt hanging that I want to make. Then I don't buy fabric. They need to take a page out of your business plan and keep the store amazing. My husband always wanted to go with me to your Murrieta store because it was such a WOW. If I wanted to buy something (always did) he was anxious for me to buy it and make it because he was wow'd.
