In the beginning She said she used that mask before bedtime, so it's her night routine,that's why there is no sunscreen, and she clearly wears sunscreen daily ,her face is lighter than her body ,that is more tanned .
So many people think that Koreans are obsessed with their skin and uses all the great products, hence why Hyram was surprised Jihyo didn’t wear sunscreen. But as someone who has lived in South Korea all their life, that whole thing is just exaggerated in the media. The ‘12-step Korean skincare routine’ or whatever wasn’t popular among the general public at all, maybe among celebs but no one here really did that. And people think we have clear skin, but there are just as many people with acne and stuff as other countries, and I feel like people think we have clear skin just because Korean skincare products are popular and the korean celebs have clear skin. Idk correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t really feel like people here care that much about skincare as foreigners think.

There’s a certain group of people on the Internet, who for some reason think that it’s the sunscreen giving people cancer and not the UV rays??? I’ve come across a few videos of people saying that sunscreen was bad for you and that the sun was good for you if that answers your question 😭
My partner will use sunscreen while kayaking or at the beach, but not daily. He makes fun of me a bit for my constant use (as a pale a$$, I don't tan, I burn), but I just tell him he'll regret it when I look 20 years younger than him in the future. Some people just don't get it.
even if she didn't show it i'm like 99% sure jihyo has to use sunscreen. Idols are pretty conscious about keeping pale skin because of the beauty standard in Korea. Plus I've seen a lot of photos from this summer where you can literally see the skin tone difference between her face and body, likely due to consistent sunscreen use on the face. I look like that in the summer too lol.

There's probably something. Her skin tone near her hairline and around her eyes look closer to her skin tone everywhere apart from her face. She also doesnt have any pigment. She looks whiter than hyram so there has to be something going on. I just assumed she had cream on for her skin care
Hi Hyram, she actually uses a MAC primer with spf45 for her makeup and her cushion has spf50 as well! I sometimes do use bbcream with spf45 as my base foundation, skipping the need to apply additional layer of sunscreen :D
But is it really possible that she covers her face in the amount of primer and foundation that is equal to those two lines of sunscreen that we are suppose to put on our skin?
Ah! Sorry girl I have to disagree there. I recently did a video talking about makeup with SPF in them and how they don't remove the need for sunscreen. Since being fair is a huge huge huge part of the industry, especially for their faces, they often cover up somehow either with an umbrella or hat and sunglasses or something. Obviously this doesn’t remove the need to wear sunscreen if you do go out even for a bit, but I don’t think there’s a need to wear it if you’re not going out at all that day guaranteed. At least for me, I don’t wear sunscreen if I don’t leave my house lol. It could also be that Jihyo forgot lmao

Hi dear first of all it's completely normal to have acne at your age when puberty hits! It's very common and most of your friends will have it too in a year or two. It's a sign you're growing up, so don't feel bad about it :D There should be some basic steps that you can do yourself: you want to take good care of your skin, so clean it everyday with a cleanser, then use a moisturizer so the skin doesn't dry out. In the morning you can start using a sunscreen as well; recommended to use daily, but since this thing is new, you can slowly try to build a habit, and on days you don't feel like putting it on, no pressure, feel free to skip. But daily sunscreen is one of the best things you can do for your skin, especially from a young age. Older you will be so grateful! For acne I would recommend a *4% benzoyl peroxide face wash* (brand name *Panoxyl*, and Cerave has one as well). You massage it on your face, leave it on for 2 minutes, then rinse it. Moisturizer and sunscreen is very personal, the best one is the one you like enough to use everyday! All these products are sold at the drugstore, and you can ask your parents for help with the shopping. And of course, if you can see a dermatologist (doctor for your skin) they can give you better, more complete advice! If the acne gets painful please consider this. You can ask your parents to help you find a dermatologist. Whatever you do don't let the mean words bring you down. You are so much more than these tiny dots on your skin! Keep learning and good luck!

I have skin that’s more on the dry side, but still struggle with acne, blackheads, and redness. Can you please help me? What types of products do you recommend? And what order should I be using those products in?
Heyyy so i kinda have this skin and my personal skincare routine is the cerave sa cleanser first, then the ordinary 10 percent niacinamide 1 percent zinc serum, then the la roche posay cicaplast b5 balm. im still trying to find a good sunscreen but i am currently using the la roche posay cicaplast b5 sunscreen but it does pill. if anyone has anything they would like to add please do
If you haven't already, check out his Skincare 101 playlist. It covers skin types, the order of products and types of products to help with different issues. Definitely include some salicylic acid, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and of course sunscreen. When I get pimples, I find that the the pimple patches with microdarts really helps get in there and heal it up quick, the follow up with the hydrocolloid patch helps get rid of the fast (and helps me leave them alone). I think it could be that but also all the product and treatments they use tend to have a brightening/whitening focus so its gonna be lighter anyways

I have skin that’s more on the dry side, but still struggle with acne, blackheads, and redness. Can you please help me? What types of products do you recommend? And what order should I be using those products in?
Heyyy so i kinda have this skin and my personal skincare routine is the cerave sa cleanser first, then the ordinary 10 percent niacinamide 1 percent zinc serum, then the la roche posay cicaplast b5 balm. im still trying to find a good sunscreen but i am currently using the la roche posay cicaplast b5 sunscreen but it does pill. if anyone has anything they would like to add please do
If you haven't already, check out his Skincare 101 playlist. It covers skin types, the order of products and types of products to help with different issues. Definitely include some salicylic acid, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and of course sunscreen. When I get pimples, I find that the the pimple patches with microdarts really helps get in there and heal it up quick, the follow up with the hydrocolloid patch helps get rid of the fast (and helps me leave them alone).
