I love this thing! Building a twin turbo 1UZ 8hp 4x4 4Runner and this is one of the only other 8hp 1UZs I’m seeing around UA-cam. For the power steering, have you thought about using electric PS from us market Prius or mr2?

How does he get the Turbolamik to work with the Dicktator ? How does he convert the analog signals to CAN which controls the gearbox… a video about this will be cool … a lot of people will say you need to go with “expensive” managements to get this to work … but this is cool
I know, yes 😅, but doesn’t the 8hp require CANbus to function and CAN signals from the ECU, like RPM, TPS, etc., which are analog signals, especially in management systems like Dicktator? Unless he’s running an analog signal to CANbus converter? Or I might even be overthinking this 😅🤣
@ My bad for that😅 , you overthinking it grootman. The wiring of the dictator hasn’t changed since the bakkie was manual. Also when it went to dictator for the gearbox wiring. Although there is some small modification they do inside the gearbox but it’s for wiring.
@ you have way more knowledge than me when it comes to this😅 not gonna lie. Doesn’t the gearbox have its own sensor for the RPM on the output shaft. When it comes to TPS I’m not to sure. Even though this bakkie is using the tps not vacuum
Make a video about this! I think it would be really cool because many people believe you need an expensive management system to control setups like this. I know the Turbolamik is a bit pricey, but it’s awesome that it’s running on Dicktator. Also, I noticed it’s cable-driven and not DBW (drive-by-wire). People often say you need DBW for these setups, but clearly, that’s not the case.

Nothing really 😅. The turbolamik controls the gearbox “TCU” and the dictator controls the engine 😅😅.
