great video! here's 2 extra points that i think should be mentioned: - my biggest issue with this event was how the last 3 hardest towers (togi, tost and toub) were all locked behind the FINAL update of ring 2, making the visits counter completely useless for the towers that would have given the most points. this also led to there being the massive break where the event wasnt updating at all since there wasnt any new content for people to play and get the visits counter to the goal. instead, those 3 hardest towers should have been spread out more into previous updates and not had ring 2 updates they werent adding any actual new content and just having the original ring 2 towers - this event took priority over zone 9, and if this event never happened then zone 9 would have been released during the summer instead, which is a massive part of the frustration considering this event was originally meant to release in early june but got delayed over 2 months. it shouldve just been scrapped in favour of zone 9 lol
What I liked is that you didn’t just say this and this was bad and end it, but you also came up with your own solutions to all the problems you had with and in the event. Good video.

I think the issue here was the 100M event. Yes, a lot of the players found the Legacy Towers boring and old with mid gameplay, so they looked to 100MR, a tower that actually posed a challenge to them. This is why the Legacy Event itself didn't perform well, in my opinion. Great video by the way!

a few things 1. the reason 100MR and ToUB(L) give such terrible rewards is because the devs dont want sc towers to have a major incentive to be beaten, similar to how horrific and unreal towers dont give badges or cosmetics 2. i think instead of giving tickets there could be a currency made specifically for the event, similar to halloween 2021 and christmas 2022 (i think christmas 2021 also had a currency but idk i didnt play that event much). i know the whole point of the other two ideas was to make the items always obtainable, but i feel like they lose their value in that case. items like the bootleg ghost coil are only valuable because so few people were around at the time to get the item 3. someone else has probably already mentioned this but just in case, the square bumper is likely used to fling people (similar to the slime gun, only works on people holding the item), and the laser cannon nullifies killbricks 4. the visit system in the legacy event sucked for more reasons than just the random shutdowns. there was a week long gap between the second to last update and the last update, and all that gamma did during that whole week (excluding at the end) was buff the tower points 2x, which wasnt nearly enough 5. the visit counts were based on the intentionally inaccurate in game difficulties instead of the real ones, which sucked because most of the new towers (the ones that people completed the most) were underrated on the difficulty chart, so we missed out on tens of thousands of visits which could've made the event go by much faster 6. not really an issue but i find it weird how 746 people have the 100MR badge but only 502 have the ToUB(L) badge
11:12 comparing legacy to roblox dev hunts is really sad, yet kinda true. I did not enjoy ToGI in the slightest yet I felt obligated to beat it for whatever reward that I probably won't use (I never ended up beating it). Anyways, really good video, nice to see more JToH youtubers (we're starving please feed us)
I remember first playing the 100m event and breezing through the first 2 mini towers and everyone in the chat was raging because of how annoying 100MF was. 100MR was arguably worse imo
3:45 ToC here is included because it was originally planned for Ring 1 in KToH times but was taken out due to lag. The reason why it is nerfed and different is because it is the original version, this was the version of ToC that was going to be used in Ring 1 but when it came back in Ring 3 it had been buffed and changed up slightly.

honestly my opinion on LE ending is that LE should still return every year for like a week, even w/o new content. it would help newbies get a really cool and unique healing item and let improving players get a chance at what they missed last year.
I can confirm from some KToH archives, it’s a direct rip of the ToC from a ktoh version in 2018. ToC was removed in ktoh 15 minutes later and wouldn’t be back until Ring 3. For whatever reason, the legacy event is stuck in the same 15 minutes.
As someone who has fully played through the event three times on all three of my accounts, I can confirm that the event lacks quality and has poor replay value.
fyi, toc:l got added because back when the first legacy event happened in 2023, the "new" towers (tot, tows; tomd prob) were towers that were built in 2018 but lost to time. Toc:l is an older version of original toc before it got buffed so thats why it got added.
I strongly disagree with the Legacy toc argument, this tower is so fun because its basically og toc without many rng jumps, and btw you can e dance out of f10 gbj. I got 9 rebeats during the event and I still want to play this tower

for tower of misfortune the one in tct is a remake, not the original one, and yes, the killbrick fire cco was used in the original tower, there is a 5 years old showcase video on youtube if you are interested.
Another issue is that for some reason, some towers made fps decrease by a bit and SPECIFICALLY totu, I don't know why it drains fps alot but it's by far the lowest amount of fps I have gotten, 9 FPS.
My main issue with the event is that most of the towers were so fucking innacurate. Nothing felt nostalgic here, the towers were filled with modern gameplay tropes (can't ever forget about the pathetic, massive final outsides). Other than all of that, I enjoyed some of the towers, I'm a fan of this type of gameplay because I've always liked the rage-game aesthetic where it doesn't care about being polished or "fair". But yeah, I wish this event would get its own redemption one day with better towers.

You gotta play these towers cautiously cause if you just rush it your gonna get messed up by a trap and lose your progress - I can get why you think the gameplay sucks but it wasnt meant to be fun, this is how classic towers were, making it polished and fun is just gonna make it lose the charm it has - The ticket idea seems good on paper, but you can already get tickets easily and eventually your just gonna have thousands stockpiled and when a new shop comes out, your just gonna buy everything and be done within 30 seconds, for this to work they need more things to buy aka they need to spend time making more items and cosmetics - Your event currency and event shop idea definitely isnt bad either but I feel like stuff like colour names and multiple cosmetics and other things like that wouldn't be great, the shop definitely would be cool but I dont think those are good examples for rewards also the custom cosmetic maker idea seems good at first but once you unlock it and make a trail you want, your just not gonna buy anything from shops which defeats the purpose of cosmetics - About exclusivity, I feel that its required, its gonna keep players enticed and want to play, im probably sounding very corperate rn but exclusivity is gonna help jtoh get more players and retain them so they dont miss future items Even though I did disagree with a lot of your points, this was still a phenominal video, the pacing, editing and just overall entertainment is amazing. Trust me when I say this, if you stay consistent, you will make it big. I wanna see you succeed so ima sub so I can see it. Keep going man, awesome video.
this was a LOT of words and i seriously appreciate you putting in the effort to write this! i don't want to respond with another huge reply, but i do agree with a lot of your ideas. i only disliked the event because i feel like the negatives heavily outweighed the positives, and it personally wasn't a great experience for me. it's nice to see that some people actually did enjoy it though
My personal reason why I hate the legacy event is because 80% of the towers just feel like watered down versions of modern towers instead of hearkening back to the tropes of classic towers. All they care about is gameplay, and now they just feel like worse versions of modern towers with no life, no identity, and no love. I didn't really feel any nostalgia playing anything there, and even if I did it was only a little.

Some worked better than others, but what's good about them is that they all felt even a little unique. ToH focussed on having much simpler gameplay rather than incorporating complex jumps. ToR was big on spinners. ToFaF liked its tortuous routes and GBJs. ToES gave its spin on thin studs and KB spam. ToIE did so many things at once. Even if you disagree with one or the other, the point is that they all felt like they had unique main goals. All of the legacy event towers feel like they only care about having good gameplay over anything else, which is just about every modern tower does.
Ima be honest bro, the only thing holding you back is that the JToH community is small, your editing was really good, if you wanna get even bigger try branching out
I hate legacy event a lot, mostly because legacy towers are just trap spam. There’s a reason people stopped making towers like that lol (I’ve just watched a bit more, seeing how they chose to add a tower about what NOT TO DO for a classic tower (tomd) is so dumb. Really shows how much they cared about the event lol)
I don't usually like it when people complain about punishment (you're playing a game that's well-known for its punishment what are you expecting) but all of the towers in LE having final stretches is stupid. Like ToTS is the only tower in ring 1 that has like an actual final outside. Not much in ring 2 has one either Also your point about 100MR giving a death effect doesn't make sense imo because it would be even worse if they locked an item behind an extreme mini tower. This applies to any tower that you say has a prize that's not useful. Because now instead of having to beat a shitty tower and getting a shitty item, a good item is locked behind a shitty tower. But yeah I do like your ticket solution, and your event currency idea. Maybe an event currency and shop that's shared between all events? So I can get event tickets from Christmas, or I can wait and get them from another event. That way there's a sense of urgency but you're not missing out on anything forever. Apparently 100MR will still give the prize after the event ends once it gets added to elevator though? Not 100% sure on that but I've heard people say that. Kind of silly to rank towers you didn't even try to beat; some of my friends who are really good at the game said they like 100MR. I think it's a vocal minority that's complaining about it solely because they don't think an SC should be in an event

If it does give the reward in elevator secret that would be SO much better but if not then I think my point still stands. I hate legacy event a lot, mostly because legacy towers are just trap spam. There’s a reason people stopped making towers like that lol (I’ve just watched a bit more, seeing how they chose to add a tower about what NOT TO DO for a classic tower (tomd) is so dumb. Really shows how much they cared about the event lol)

I don't usually like it when people complain about punishment (you're playing a game that's well-known for its punishment what are you expecting) but all of the towers in LE having final stretches is stupid. Like ToTS is the only tower in ring 1 that has like an actual final outside. Not much in ring 2 has one either
Also your point about 100MR giving a death effect doesn't make sense imo because it would be even worse if they locked an item behind an extreme mini tower. This applies to any tower that you say has a prize that's not useful. Because now instead of having to beat a shitty tower and getting a shitty item, a good item is locked behind a shitty tower. But yeah I do like your ticket solution, and your event currency idea. Maybe an event currency and shop that's shared between all events? So I can get event tickets from Christmas, or I can wait and get them from another event. That way there's a sense of urgency but you're not missing out on anything forever.
Apparently 100MR will still give the prize after the event ends once it gets added to elevator though? Not 100% sure on that but I've heard people say that.
Kind of silly to rank towers you didn't even try to beat; some of my friends who are really good at the game said they like 100MR. I think it's a vocal minority that's complaining about it solely because they don't think an SC should be in an event

If it does give the reward in elevator secret that would be SO much better but if not then I think my point still stands. Idk if 100MR is actually fun since im nowhere near good enough to beat it, but I really just dont like that they felt the need to add such a difficult tower into an event like this. With the ranking, I didn't want to randomly leave out the two I didn't try because it would've felt kinda weird imo.
