I wanted to ask I just want to do some web surfing, UA-cam and play some old games is raspberry Pi 4 -4 gp ram is okay to get in 2024?

I'm guessing the reason why you haven't done a video about using a VR headset as a monitor for a Raspberry Pi is because it's too complicated to film?

I am still sad that you can't use Raspberry Pi 5 with USB-C dock. I have docking stations at work and I would love to just plug it in with one cable (USB, display output, power). As far as I know, the HW of Pi 5 is not capable of that.
@@adameichler the usb c port doesn’t output video. USB 3 displaylink hubs work with multiple displays and usb sockets. With Windows at least
I thought the Pi-5 Has two HDMI outputs ( why do you need) the USB Adaptor ??
@@x_CrossHair_x it does, I attempted 3 hdmi with the displaylink adapter unfortunately Windows on Pi 5 only supports 1 hdmi out. 2 with displaylink.

I first remember thinking more about displaylink when ETA Prime showed off such a device that enabled a phone that didn't natively support video over USB to do so with a compatible device.
This also serves as a reminder that there will be some software tat happily runs without the need for any kind of GPU acceleration that doesn't also max out the CPU and raise temps.
Are there any plans to return to your Orange Pi 5? I heard it has new OpenGLES drivers developed by Collabora.

interesting that you have steam running on an ARM cpu, because that's apparently the limitation for making it run on a PI 4/5

Windows on a Pi still seems like a waste of a Pi to me...
Consider it a test of one's patience and skill in crowbarring a bloated and privacy-hating OS onto a small computer that was never designed for it in the first place. In some parts of the world it would be consider a "penance" having confessed one's sins...
