I love that elfie did seem uncomfortable but he was calm! He didn’t try and fly or scream like my parrot does when he’s uncomfortable or frightened 😭 this was a cool video! Elfie deserved a treat after that hike for being a good birb😎

Are alphies eyes swollen or is that just his natural cute face? Did you train to let the clipping of nails? Nails are so important to a parrot.

Be patient. They eventual learn to trust you and will come to you without any treats, but keep establishing trust with you parrot, that it knows you are a safe person.

Depends on how well/fast you and your parrot bond work on taming. Some parrot don't really like to be pet. Can be anywhere from a few weeks to months. Depends on the parrot!
I’ve been trying to harness train meyers parrot for 9 months with no success or progress 😭 she is also 10 years though so I can see why she may be reluctant to learn (I adopted her some time ago). What are your opinions on parrot backpacks? Or do you have any brand suggestions
Been trying harness training for 3 years-well I gave up after 2.5. I’m using parrot wizards method but the head loop is a no go. She will target through it but won’t tolerate it.
yea, my boy won't put his head through the head loop, he'll put through wing loop even cinched small. i did put his head through head bit but he froze, thought he was going to have heart failure. Now he won't entertain it. any advice in trying to rectify this please as i dont want to give up. he is 14mnths, had him since he was 14wks.
