    If you simply add a voltage of the following equation to the triangular carrier waveform, then the ideal SMV timing is obtained:
    1/2* (V_maximum phase - V_minimum phase)
    This new waveform is compared to the 3-phase voltages (direct 'd' plus the leading quadrature voltage 'q') by voltage comparators, which create the 100, 110, etc switching times.
    With some well-known trigonometric identities, the student can prove to himself how this yields the ideal waveforms, resulting in very low harmonic distortion.

    Referring to video at 12:15 time: why in the abc to alpha-beta transformation when you show the equation you are multiplying the matrix by 2/3 and then in the simulation you are multiplying it by sqrt(2/3)?

      for converting the coordinate system with power conservation, you must use sqrt (2/3). For conversion systems that do not necessarily need to conserve power in the coordinates, you can use 2/3.

    Hi,
    I would like to ask a question about the switching time during any sector.
    The video in 6:20, why the T2 is "sin (a- (n-1)pi/3) " not sin (a + (n-1)pi/3)
    From sector I to sector II is +60 degrees?

    Hello sir thank you for awesome explanation. In step 1 why you devide by squrt(2/3) instead of 2/3 ??? as in matrix equation of 3-phase to 2-phase the matrix is multiplied by 2/3 only not squrt(2/3).

    Very initial circuit shows that S1 & S4 are complementary, But when final PWM generated you said, S1, S2 are complementary. Is it a typo? Im not clear with this.

      Dear,
      Value of three voltages are,
      Magnitude 1V, Bias =0V, frequency = 50hz, time =2 x pi x f (50). Phase shift is Va = 0, Vb = 2pi/3, Vc = 4pi/3.

      Snubber resistance Rs = 1000 Ohms
      Snubber capacitance Cs = inf
      Power electronic device: IGBT / Diodes
      Ron = 1e-3 Ohms
      forward voltages [ Device Vf , Diode Vfd ]= [ 0.8 0.8 ]
      [ Tf , Tt ]= [ 1e-6 , 2e-6 ]

      No actually that function is not copied to each cell, function are relevant to phase angle, so every equations are had a phase shifting of 0, 120 & 180. If you are not able to do it please send a email to us. Mentioned in about page.
