England Men are doing the same, beating the also ran's but losing, or dropping points against the top Nations. Losing to France, drawing with Sweden, etc. The alarm bells are ringing and unless that is addressed England will be in trouble.
@@neovarleydownes9109 In the Nations League , England lost to NL and Belgium. But also beat NL and Belgium. That season ended with NL and England on equal points and with just a one goal difference. By one goal , i mean there were 4 other situations where England would have ended top of the group , by a one goal difference. Not sure how that counts as losing to ( we we beat them as well ) or dropping points ( as we are ranked 3 and Sweden 6). Its always going to be very tight in the top 10. What did you want England to do? Beat everyone 10-0 ?

September 2023, that is 10 months ago, I am talking about the here and now. Since that loss to Spain in the WC Final, it does not make good reading and England have been going downhill ever since.
there have also been some iffy results before that and signs of it not being ok.
Drawing 0:0 with Nigeria, ranked 36th, that is 33 places behind England, as it stands.
Only just beating Haiti, ranked 53rd.
Before England were beating Nations like Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden and R.of.I. comfortably.
Now they are losing to those Nations, drawing with Nations they should be beating and just about scraping through others, that before they were playing off the park.
They have slipped from top spot to 3rd and losing brownie points as they go.
That tells me that all is not right.
Clubs/Nations, should always be looking to improve, get better, come up with new plans to beat the opposition, stagnate and you lose.
History tells us that.
My Country, Germany (Men and Women), although both are now improving, Brazil, Man Utd, all those years of success, but didn't really build on it, until 2012 came along and Ferguson decided to retire from a sinking ship and throw Moyes under the bus instead, Nottingham Forest (in the Div.1 Days), Liverpool, 30 odd years ago, when they thought they had become invincible....Now the England Women are doing it, that is not good.

What highlights ? there were none a very poor game indeed. They were all over Sweden like a rashin the first half. Have they got the Southgate disease try at all costs to walk the ball in the net, do pass to another player who has no chance of scoring . Why are Mead and Hemp allowed to be together for free kicks surely two potential goal scorers should be in the penalty area together is it because they would shoot instead of passing to a non goal scorer. These girls and the men are killing football it is so bloody boring
