    I'm a bit late but for denim and frayed items, you can use the mesh laundry bags that are usually used for delicates! Hope this helps 😊

    Youre so right about the aggressiveness...I tell people all the time, this little machine actually works better than my full size machine downstairs. It's such a small volume of water and it's very powerful, so together it's very vigorous. I really prefer to use this instead for my whites and unmentioniables. It gets every crumb of dirt out, I mean every.

    Undercover clothes washer here (not allowed in the apartments) I had mine sent to my job (it's not heavy - just bulky) and walked up the one level on the back steps with it to my place around 8 at night, otherwise they deliver to the front desk and you have to go ask for your package. Also - while I'm sharing here - I use liquid detergent and what I did was when I ran out, I put half the new detergent in the empty container and added about a 1/3 of the container in water and shook it up. You really don't need a lot of detergent for this - resist the urge to put in a whole cup, I learned the hard way when I walked into my bathroom and there were bubbles spilling out everywhere! I use warm for my clothes, let it drain after washing and then refill with cold water and wash for another 5 minutes and drain to get the suds out. After spinning I have 3 over the door hangers with multiple hooks and hang things up - that spinner gets the clothes dry! My machine is going strong after 6 months and I watched the previous video and wipe the machine when I'm done, leave the top open to dry out then put it back into my closet.

      Yes yes and yesssss!!! This is it. Love to hear this. So nice to hear you found a way to get it and bypass downstairs too! Lol.
      I went downstairs to the general washer the other day just to wash an area rug and saw that the price went up from $1.25 to wash to $2.00 per wash and from $1.00 to dry, to $2.00 to dry. I was blown away. We really do need these little machines. I was so grateful I had mine. I washed my rug, then brought it upstairs to dry. It made me even more grateful for having this machine all over again!

      I’m so thankful you mentioned this because I don’t want my apartment complex knowing either! I don’t have many other options in having it delivered but I’m curious if yours came in a regular cardboard box? Or does the box itself reveal what’s inside? Thank you!

      Hi Virgie, just a question, do you know why the apartments don’t allow washing machines in the units cause our apartment has the same rules and I wonder why. I wanna buy this thing so bad cause doing laundry downstairs really cost us $20 a week

    Love that you squashed ur perfectionism and released this video that fully meets its purpose! ❤ I have a Panda twin tub about the same size as yours. I keep it in my (dry) bedroom, on a commercial size baking sheet, on a wire shelving unit that's on wheels. The shelf the machine sits on is high enough to ensure that gravity drains every last drop of water out of the machine after each use. The machine is light enough that if I discovered a hose leaking during use, I could unplug the machine and move it into the tub to prevent a huge mess and apartment damage. I copy a UA-camr who hooks the drain onto a clean toilet, with the seat down to gently capture the hose better. The bigger toilet pipes mean no worries about clogging drains from lint. That UA-camr also used gloves, to protect her skin from harsh detergents. She filled her machine's tub with a shower head hose like you do. It fills so much faster! She filled the tub part way with water, added liquid soap, turned on the machine for a few seconds until soap was fully mixed into the water, turned off the machine, put in clothes, all while still filling the tub until the water was at the right level. The shower hose is also great for rinsing the tub's walls of any human hair, lint and pet hair after each use. I have a tiny bathroom. My machine can connect to the shower hose, toilet and sink faucet at the same time. Love connecting the spinner tub's inlet to the faucet for extra rinsing during final spin. (That UA-camr may have done that too. She definitely used an additional floating lint catcher.)

    Thank you for your videos! I credit you for bringing me to this lifesaver during this Pandemic. I had the same frustration of not being able to clean inside the space behind the wash tub until I found those small wire pipe cleaners that are sometimes used to tie plastic bags. They are skinny and small but long and bendable enough to squeeze through the white plastic grill in the wash tube. I was able to remove mildew that way like a tooth brush. Peace and love and gratitude to you!

    Hey Nina! I loooooooove that you're still using your portable W/D. I pulled the trigger on buying one because of you! I have a tip for you for delicates. :) There is a wool wash conditioning detergent called Eucalan that can also be used for delicates. It does not require agitation to wash or even a rinse but I still rinse if it's not pure wool. You can just use the washer as a soaking basin without running a cycle, and still drain and spin-dry. I have saved delicate sweaters and garter belts this way, and they still get very clean. If there is anything soiled, I will just agitate it by hand in a pre-wash. Good luck! :)

    I just watched your first video last night and actually ordered one as well as a portable mini dryer. I also am on a second floor efficiency apartment and live in Texas next to the woods and a creek. I actually did a load of laundry yesterday and felt something on the top of my foot. Looked down to see what it was and found a 5 foot big fat black rat snake in-between my feet. I've never jumped so high and moved so fast in my entire life. I know my neighbors had to have a good laugh watching me screaming and running like a mad women. My worst phobia in the world is snakes. Resident's always leave the door open and the snakes get in-between the washers and dryers for heat. That was the very end of my laundry room visits. Never again. So please know your video definitely sold me. Great job and Thanks for sharing 😊👍

    I figured out a way to solve getting the extra soap out. Before I drain either the wash or rinse water, I use a skimmer to skim off the soap suds sitting on top of the water. I just use one of those tiny 5 inch fry pans that are made to cook one egg. I don't cook with it; I just keep it for this purpose. I am sure you could use a lot of different things to skim the soap like maybe a large flat spoon, I think your reviews are excellent. You go into great detail and this is very much appreciated. I love the way you figure out how to solve problems like the lint issue. I would never have thought of taking apart the agitator. I will try that with mine now.

      @@marcusjohnson1510 Hopefully I am not replying twice. I wrote a reply but it seems to have disappeared so I'll try again. Anyway the only thing I can suggest is to maybe spin dry your clothes for a shorter period of time, like maybe a minute or two. The clothes will be wetter but they won't be distorted as much. I use a Panda spin dryer which is basically a powerful water extractor. The clothes comes out almost bone dry. If I have more delicate items, then I just hand wring those clothes and then hang them to dry on hangers on a clothing rack. I put two small plastic dishpans under the clothes to catch any drips. A trick I use is to place a heater or fan (depending on the time of year) in front of the clothing rack to blow hot or cool air at the clothes. This helps them dry faster. Tower fans/heaters work best. Obviously, don't place the heater too close to the clothing; you don't want them catching on fire. Hope this helps.

    I got one of these because of your video and it really is a life saver! However, it seems like you're one of the lucky ones who's never had any major mechanical issues with the machine. Like many people in the Amazon reviews, my spinner went out after only 2 uses. I've had mine for almost a year now. I have only used it for small, lightweight items like intimates and only I use it biweekly. Customer service is outstanding and a replacement was sent to me. However, even with my new machine on occasion I continue to have problems with the spinner. I try not to do more than one load when I use it. I don't regret the purchase at all but just wish I could more than one load before the spinner goes out. 😕

    About your denim jacket or anything that's frayed, I suggest using one of those garment bags. I used one for my son's clothes when he was a newborn because they were so little obviously. I know that they make bigger size ones and hopefully that will help with not catching the fibers as much.

    I have an aging washer and dryer, and have been considering going smaller and using less energy in the laundry. I ordered a Wonderwash hand-crank ball and their Ninja spinner "dryer" to use primarily for my shirts & undies. The spinner is supposed to get clothes dry enough so they can be line dried or need much less time in a standard dryer. If the wash ball doesn't live up to expectations, I will look into an option similar to what you got. Peace!

    Okay I was already mostly sold on this and then you put the queen sheets in and I was stunned.
    One thing that does concern me is how rough it is on clothes, because i have a lot of clothes that I care about. But it made me think that you could probably just get a yirego drumi foot pedal washing machine for the delicates or one of those special washing plungers. I have a plunger from the days of living in a pay-laundry apt and using a big party bucket for washes. But the lack of a wringer was the hardest part.

    For those where it is possible, you can drain to the toilet instead of a bath/sink/shower then you don't have to worry about lints and fibers clogging up the plumbing.

    Just got the same model , I love it , just one issue and that's the draining , the machine has to be high enough cos the draining isn't powerful enough to drain through nor!all means so has to drain into a bucket ,, but well worth the money and a it of a work out doing the laundry so all good

      Yesss, absolutely. I always had mine on the stand you see in the video which was well elevated to drain downward into the bath tub. I tried moving it once into my kitchen and it was a no go, lol. Def needs elevation for the best draining.

    I have a very similar model I've used for years! I also love it! Mine is Costway 17 lb load. My first one lasted probably about 3 years until the spinner side went out, but the wash side still worked. I got another exact model to replace it. I use it nearly daily. I tried out another brand, Kuppet. (DON'T!! Defective.) I use mesh drain cover for lint capture. You do need to drain it into either a bathtub, sink, or 5 gal pail. I use bucket to fill mine. Mine was just n bathroom but I purchased a metal cart to mine on and now use it in kitchen and roll it out of sight when done. However shorter people may want a step stool to work with it on a cart.

      Darla - I have one of these. I can wash a light bedspread, sheets, my bathroom rugs, kitchen rugs (like welcome mat size) and pillowcases but haven't washed a large heavy comforter or pillows. I do have a laundry room in my building thankfully to wash the really big items but being able to come home, get in my shorts and tank top and pop this little machine in my tub and do my thing - soooo much nicer. Plus with the pandemic I haven't wanted to go into the laundry room around other people or use machines others have used. My big tipping point was that you have to put money on a card to use the laundry room and I'm guessing a kid thought it was funny to open the door to the dryer and the time still runs but imagine my surprise when the time was gone and I go get my clothes and they were still wet! I have a small efficiency apt and love this machine - such a godsend and since utilities are paid - virtually free to do my laundry!

  • @nikkiramdeno424
    @nikkiramdeno424 Рік тому

    I have never used one of these before, but the house that my husband and I are moving into does not have a washer or dryer and honestly I do not feel like taking all of our clothes, dog beds, and clothes that need to be refreshed plus bed linens all to the laundromat where every two weeks my entire car be filled to the brim with 1 million things I mean even if I just got my clothes done and a few linens for the dogs that’s fine But the thing is I was concerned about capacity how much capacity does yours hold because I am looking for one. That’s no less than 17.6 which I see on the thing and certain things I’m not even going to use in the spin cycle or it’ll only be in there from the lowest amount of time just to get excess water out and then it’ll air dry on a rack over the shower and places like that, so I am completely new to this, so your video was the first one I watched and I must say it’s very informative. As for denim after it washes your clothes I would use one of those delicates bags they sell or don’t put it in the agitator at all it might take a day, but if you don’t need to wash it And have it dry immediately. Just let it dry on its own and it dries fast if you open the window even if it’s cold outside close the door to your bathroom, drape it over the shower rod and you’ll see how fast it will dry if u can drape near a window no matter temp. Just close the door to the bathroom so it doesn’t make the entire apartment cold and I’m not saying open the window all the way I’m talking about a crack maybe like a couple inches where it can dry something

    Idk if anybody has said it yet, but liquid fabric softener helps reduce suds when you use too much detergent. White vinegar can help, too. Great video!

      and baking soda in the rinse cycle too

    • @pfarrell3626
      @pfarrell3626 Рік тому +1

      Fabric softener is the reason people have to strip their clothes. It forms a film ,not allowing the detergent to do its work. It also meeese up working parts of the machine,reducing its life. Lastly that residual goes out to our water affecting animals and crops. White vinegar does a great job,maybe better. White vinegar is also a good hair rinse.

    • @Thegiftedreadertarot89
      @Thegiftedreadertarot89 Рік тому +3

      @@pfarrell3626 I think you could make that argument for most commercially available laundry detergents. I also mentioned vinegar. Personally, I don't use softener in every load. I was just suggesting something to help reduce suds when there's too much soap.
