This was just painful to watch. Sad part is living life as a Black person and knowing the day will come when you have to explain to your little children why things like this even happened.
This is why I do believe some people just come with less of a soul and less compassion. I believe it’s in their DNA which makes being evil (even to kids) a lot easier for them.
Its like the Roseann Bar tyrage she did a couple years back, and she blamed it on the Ambien she was using....Ambien QUICKLY issued an "I don't know her" statement...🤣🤣🤣..."Ambien does not nor does it ever cause you to be a RACIST
As a white Australian who's never visited places like this, it's made me realise why Black JOY matters, and why it's important to never shut it down. You've got over 5 MILLION kids who fall into this "category", and all of a sudden, people think it's justified to just break their hearts and possibly traumatise them... WHY? We all need to go back to the basics about being human, things that the first humans learnt long before society even existed. Why, you ask? Because I believe it's one of the main keys to dismantle learnt hatred and actually move forward. We need PROPER EDUCATION in schools, education that isn't brought to you by the letters R, A, C, I, S and M, and I'm saying that to Australia as well. Stay strong, everyone. Sending y'all the utmost love.
Yeah let that happen to my lil grand niece I can promise you right now if I was there, they have to call the whole Black Ops everybody would be getting these hands....i mean EVERYONE who stop me is getting stomp the f**** out! 👊👊👊
At a scheduled meet and greet, my family experienced a similar situation with "Abby" when she ignored my niece, a black child, one in the midst of a crowd of white children. Time and again my niece tried to get her attention, and time and again Abby motioned for her to wait with her hands. My sister noticed and approached Abby about it, but Abby gestured to the large crowd of children--communicating to her that my niece wasn't the only child there. At the time it made sense, so when my sister told the rest of the family what was happening, we all agreed that she should let it go--especially since Abby eventually interacted with my niece. But now that we see that other black children are consistently ignored, mistreated, and physically accosted--nothing can convince me "Abby's" actions were not intentional. Ooh I wish we unleashed on "her." At the very least, you can bet our annual trip to Sesame Place will never happen again. EVER.
In my opinion, that's what they want. For us to be the "angry b person" and hauled away in cuffs with an assault charge. Try not fall for it. And I know, it's not easy to let it go.
@Clayton Bigsby EXACTLY! They feed off our emotions.. especially deep emotions! I’ve seen these people smirk when I used to give in their power and ‘lash out’ ‘shout’ get defensive! Now I just roll my eyes because I know their time is coming to an end ⏰
Sesame Street needs to do more than issue an "I don't know them" statement and stop licensing to sesame place. We need to demand more from Sesame Street, these are our kids!!!
This isn’t worth complaining over, if I ignore a black person im not automatically racist, it’s just that she’s trying to entertain everyone, on Sesame Street there’s a saying “let’s all just have fun”
That's not even Abby that a disgusting white person in an Abby costume. Now why would you pay money to see disgusting people in costumes? If you really sit down and think about it. We should stop seeking these people's approval.
The purple honker character knocked that child down on purpose. It was giving aggressive and predatory vibes. If that was my child that would have been addressed on the spot right then and there. Bert lucky that girl didn't jump on him after he slapped her. Her parents should have addressed that right then and there as well.
When people say, "why do you have to say you're proud to be black?". Because of bull like this, because despite the way we're treated we still love who we are. So, yeah, imma be proud, B. These babies don't need to be feeling this so soon though, ugh, my heart. 😔

Who pays for that community to have that?? We all do it’s called tax payer money.. Ijs
It’s not something to be proud of just like being white is not something to be proud of. It’s something completely out of your control and solely determined by your parents.
We really need to stop explaining ourselves to other. Like, we need to get to the point when we say are who we are and if someone dislikes it, move right on past that foolishness. They are nothing but a distraction.
When i first saw it i'm thinking maybe just a person inside of one costume was racist. To now see that it wasn't just 1 person it was several people treating black children this way I really feel some type of way.
Dont be surprised when I tell you this but it’s 99.9% of the yt people you know too. Sorry. They're doing this because they know that you don't know who they are and that the company *will not tell anyone who they are* so they are safe from any consequences for pulling this mess. It's been going on with *a lot* of these companies with mascots lately (remember a while back with those Disney mascots making the white supremacist hand sign?) and none of the companies are actually doing anything about it which should show parents that there definitely is an unwritten policy going on here. Will the parents take action is the question.

This got me 🤬 and I don't even got any kids, so I could only imagine how the parents feel🤦♂️. My brother and sister in law were supposed to be taking their kids within the next few weeks, looks like we are gonna have to make a change of plans b/c this is unacceptable.
Hopefully others will aviod Sesame Place too. Money is the only way to hurt businesses like that. It they hired decent people, they wouldn't have to teach decency; just rules.
When you look closely at the Burt scene, you can clearly see a hand on the other side of that black kid’s face. The camera angle almost hides the fact that the Burt actor was slapping another persons hand in a high five type of swing. There was nothing abusive or racist about that clip. There are so many problems out there, we don’t need to make them up to fit OUR narrative. Pay attention to camera angles. Tom cruise is short but camera angles make him look taller.
To all the black folks out there... I'm so sorry you get treated at times like this. I don't care what color your skin is... To me you are ALL valuable and deserve my love and respect.
I don't want to cry this early in the morning but this shit broke my heart for the day. This is a microcosm of society! Why are these people so hateful? We love!
I don't. And I don't teach my children to love ppl that don't love them. BP need to stop this. Showing love to ppl that hate you is not a virtue. It's cowardly & weak.

As just some white dude, I wouldn't want my kids being in a place where they be treating ANYBODY like that! Those kids have no idea what just happened 😭.
I’m only thumbs up this video because you are funny Kev but this is actually a serious matter because all those black parents paid the same money them other parents paid so why are the children being treated differently…we know why 😡
This is crazy especially when you consider that alot of their fans are probably black kids. I grew up without cable and like most black kids watched sesame street everyday bcuz without cable there aren't many channels or kid friendly shows.
Black people Stop treating your kids like ADULTS. Love your kids, protect your kids, Then the world won't treat them like this. At 35 I’ve never forgotten that moment and how it made me feel so my heart aches for these kids. I have a mixed granddaughter and she is 17 now and gorgeous... To think of anyone ever treating her like that when she was little and innocent makes me angry. Watching this video I couldn't hold my tears. Those characters need to be fired and never allowed to hold any job having to do with children or the public! Disgusting behavior. All children deserve the best treatment and consideration! So sorry that black parents have to go through having a "talk" with their beautiful children about why some people do and say the awful things do. My love to all black children that were mistreated by Seseme Street "employees".
For the record, parents of "mixed gorgeous" children may also have to have "that talk" with their kids. Or any parent for that matter, because some people simply won't treat you right bc of their own personal prejudice, which can extend beyond skin color. ❤️
@A O I fully understand the prejudice that people are capable of! I grew up in LA back in the sixties I have seen it all my life. I lived in a black/mexican neighborhood. I knew about police brutality years before the Rodney King "episode" happened. I am of Mexican ancestry and we have experienced lots of racism. I was speaking that as a grandmother of my beautiful granddaughter it would cause so much emotion (anger mostly) for my little one to have experienced meaness simply because of race and skin color. I can fully understand and don't need to be black myself or my granddaughter be 100% black to understand. This video was disgusting and heartbreaking... And yes, I have a heart. I don't know if I explained myself good enough to you but I am done.
Wow, if SESAME STREET has gone down the racist rabbit hole, we are pretty much screwed. That said, the sooner we clue our children in to the real deal about racism, the better. We need to catch particularly our little girls before they start holding the little white dolls and saying "...I wish I looked like this." They start getting those subtle jabs EARLY!
The hurt in these babies faces is what's killing me. They do not yet understand what is happening to them, but we know all to well and will have to "the talk" with them at an age where they won't comprehend why anyone would hate them just for simply existing.
The fact that any child has to be given a talk on why people were so cruel to them as tiny children is horrifying. I could barely watch this video, seeing the pain in these little kids’ eyes as they got passed-up. These employees destroyed the magic of the event, and broke away part of these children’s innocence. Absolutely shameful.
That "talk" has to happen either way, it'll be beneficial down the line. It lets them know that they are not in the wrong, so they shouldn't feel bad about themselves

First shall be last and the last shall be first... What goes around also comes around. Let's teach our children to be self sufficient and to not seek validation from those who don't have your best interests in mind. Make an effort to go where you are celebrated...
The real sad part is sesame Street was made for inner city kids. That was their main target audience INNER CITY KIDS. I don't know who needs to remind them who the show was made for but somebody needs to remind them. Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrissett must be be rolling in their grave because this is not what they wanted sesame Street to be. They saw how shitty the school system was for the minority and knew the only way to fix it on a larger scale.
This was just painful to watch. Sad part is living life as a Black person and knowing the day will come when you have to explain to your little children why things like this even happened.
I know that really is heartbreaking af!! It gets me 38 hot knowing people are having to have this conversation with their innocent babies.

The world is fxxk up. It's all gonna end soon.
And yet you haven't left and given your land and property back to the native aborigines, but give others advice on racism. 🤣😂

LISSEN! That Bert costume would’ve been confetti had that been one of mine. 😡

It’s not something to be proud of just like being white is not something to be proud of. It’s something completely out of your control and solely determined by your parents.

When you look closely at the Burt scene, you can clearly see a hand on the other side of that black kid’s face. The camera angle almost hides the fact that the Burt actor was slapping another persons hand in a high five type of swing. There was nothing abusive or racist about that clip. Thank you for making sure there’s more than one example of this behavior. They can’t say it’s a one off. We can always tell when there’s no Black representation in upper management positions. That’s part of the problem! Diversity & inclusion starts at the table where decisions are made! The issue isn’t a lack of training. ✊🏾
The news coverage of this story has made me angry. People only showing the one clip so the can downplay it and say it’s not racism.
@@PrincessLioness That’s mainstream media for you! They’re always going to try to minimize the scale of racism in this country until we get in the streets & cut up like we did over George Floyd! And honestly had they gotten their hands in the footage before the public did, I’m sure we would not have seen the ugly truth until after those cops got a slap on the wrist. The people running these networks don’t look like us & very rarely have us at the boardroom tables or in charge of the content they produce. Nielsen ratings have existed since 1950. Never in my life have I been asked to use one of their devices to measure ratings for program I watch & I don’t know any other Black person that has either & I’m almost 50! They care about what non-urban folks watch & they don’t wanna deal with the underbelly of systemic racism in this county. Kev’s is the 1st post I saw showing the other clips of incidents happening. The Black News Channel (BNC) stopped operating in March this year so our only options for the rest of the story is people like Kev, Roland Martin, DL Hughley & other sources we trust or social media. It’s sad! 😞
@@Lakergyrl73 Yup, only black media outlets are showing the other videos. Notice how Sesame Street had to release another statement when all the other videos came out. Smh.
I was willing to hear an alternative explanation, until Kev showed multiple angles and even worse incidents. I wish it was just some kinda skit.
Yet there’s still several klansmen gaslighting in these comments. 😒
@@crnkmnky so not black children are ever hugged or high fived at this place? Oh I forgot...if they showed vids of that then they would be attacked as sellouts.
People: "I don't see color" "why do you have to make everyhting about color"
People less than five minutes later:
Everyone loves to bitch about everything nowadays. Entitled fxxks they are.
🤣
"I don't see color" yet they are the most hateful race on the planet. I can't wait until karma humbles some people
@dang_an1 “I don’t see color” is bs and helps no one. If you’re only able to respect someone by not acknowledging their race (because that’s what skin color is) then theirs a problem. We should respect and accept that people are different not sweep it under the rug.
@@whatarehumans3680 you judge a person by their character not race. I'm Hispanic and have experienced racism for black people vs white people. Racism is in every culture and race. The people who bring you down the most is your own race. Your own race is literally the ones who don't want you to succeed in life. That's in every race.
I’m glad it was captured on video. Monsters in costumes
All of these pissed me off but that one that knocked the baby over with his/her stomach or crotch is completely INAPPROPRIATE. LIKE WTF!? why didnt anyone push him tf off or do something. SMH.
Yea me and mine will never go there... We need a Doc McStuffins Toy Hospital 🤷🏾♂️ I would love to take my little black queens to that
Glad you made this video, otherwise I would not have know and I’m sure they gonna do they best to sweep it under the rug. Unfortunately the media to worried about bs and we need y’all entertainers to do their job, to communicate and show us injustices so we can make our voices heard.
They released some B.S statement about how because of the costume height, Rosita didn't see the kids 😒 but she saw the little white kids next to the black ones tho 🧐
@@LovelyKelly645 Exactly
Kelly Rowland introduced me to this
Its all over bing. I have to op3n it for wo4k all day.. its the only way i knew Kelly rolland reposted..its sad this has to be trending news.. we need to stop supporting people who do this to us. When they see less funds ooh they will definitely have a change of hear
@@LovelyKelly645 That was when the first video came out. But once those other videos came out of Rosita purposefully ignoring the black kids, they couldn’t excuse it.
As a black mother this hurt my heart. But for me this is proof positive that sesame Street do not control their brand the way Disney does. I watched the amazing documentary that whoppi goldburg produced on the black puppeteer that created elmo and went on the teach and control the puppeteers after Jim Henson death. There is no way that show is racist. This is what happens when you give up control of your your art. 🤔
How are edited clips Proof beyond a reasonable doubt? Answer is they are not. A bigger picture (full, unedited video of the characters entire march down parade) is needed otherwise it can be taken out of context VERY easily. It’s not proof. All it is is someone clipping videos. It’s sick that it’s so casually accepted as Gospel.
@@nonyab5640 They turn down lots of kids, it's too much to hug everyone but I don't like the shoving away or no's. They could wave nicely and keep walking.
@@joanna0988 4ight but turn down the damn white adults before you turn down kids..its for them anyways..i could understand ignoring the adults but not the kids
@@princessnjj Yup I agree. There's definitely something off here and the company needs to set some rules across the board if their employees are letting personal feelings dictate how they do their job.
Kevin Clash did not _originate_ the Elmo character, but he did become a major force in professional puppetry and the direction of Sesame Street… until he caught accusations from several young men.
I kinda blame him for turning the show into an Elmo-fest, and I don’t like what he was accused of. But I do respect the man’s career journey.
I had no idea what I was about to watch. I’m horrified and sooo saddened. No words. 😞
This is terrible. Ignoring the children was terrible enough but the last two videos were actually violent and the families should sue the shit out of them. I was definitely planning on taking my son to Sesame Place on our next trip to San Diego; we will not be going there now.
Yo-o-o! My niece called this out 20 years ago, when she was 5! These are not just recent events. I'ma need all you Sesame Place survivors to tell your stories and put them on blast! This place needs their own "Me, too" movement.
Dang. That's messed up. People are pretty disgusting.
Sesame place survivors 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 you dumb a H3LL!!
Also #melietoo movement was outted as a scam the second their expenses were released since most of the money went to the executives and actresses while only helping like 7 or 8 women. Nonprofit organizations have to show their expenditures every year. That's how blm leaders were busted buying all those million dollar mansions as business expendatures.
Hire Amber Heard.
It hurts because there's a high chance this was the first time these kids will learn that being black is NOT a good thing. As much as WE pump ourselves up and show ourselves love, reality is (all I know is in America) most non-black people don't see being black as a good thing. They were just little kids before and know they will learn the bad parts about being black before anyone tells them how much good we have
Bruh what I really don’t understand why y’all be so surprised about things like this and being black is a GREAT thing and so is every other ethnicity.
No one ESPECIALLY not black people should be learning that being black isn’t a good thing. They put down blacks to lift themselves, just like whites don’t wait for blacks to lift themselves up, black should never look to whites. Why would they stop, what would be their benefit to ending racism? Other than being a good human being..
Ya if you think being black is a bad thing youre part of the problem. Get our of that mentality and tell yourself it is a good thing. Its Honestly sad.
We shouldn't have to rely on any other people to tell us and remind us of how Good and Magnificent we really are!! My mother, who died 5 1/2 years ago, came from the coal mines of West Virginia to New York to work in the school system. The family moved to New Jersey where my sisters and I were educated and worked to support ourselves. My mother did this as a single mother, with precious little help from my father! You can be part of the problem or part of the solution. Which position you take is entirely up to you. Peace and Blessings!
Just don't watch TV and mainstream music. That's what they see us as. Barely human entertainment.
0:44 it can’t get anymore obvious then this clip tbh. Directly looked at the BG who wanted some acknowledgment. It’s really pathetic how some adults will act. especially, when their identity is protected.
As a black person I am so sick of the victim mentality! Its shameful. You reap what you sow! Stop being victims! Its ridiculous.
True, it blows my mind how people automatically assume the people in the suits were white, so they could blame racism. I'm a 1000% convinced they are not, since we would have known by now if they were. Remember nothing bad has ever happened in human history to a white kid. Cannon Hinnant for example agrees...... 🙄
W
“Bert slapped the baby! Bert slapped the baby! Bert slapped the baby!!” 😭😂😂😂
Amazing how you can hide under a costume just like a white hood and get the same person.
So it's been confirmed that none were black?
Put a white person in a hood or costume and you'll see how they truly feel about you
They were probably all black you clown. We would know by now who these people are if they were white you absolute buffoon!
This is beyond ridiculous. This is why we must be sure to love and protect our kids ourselves. We must show them that they are beautiful and that they matter.
Even me? I'm 18.
@@Kadin73 Even you my child.
This video was very clear, it's no way to excuse they behavior. I wonder how many shows these ppl put on before this was caught.... I feel so bad for them, you can clearly see some were so disappointed
You almost on the right track...how many shows do these peopke put on every year? And a few clips that were repeated but couldn't break even 2 minutes is all the proof needed to incite a mob of 1.6k people mad AF.
they look so sad and confused 🥺 poor babies
Go ahead and release those names. Waiting on Ernie and Elmo to drop the names of those coworkers so we can light up their social media. The klan wore hoods too to protect their identity. It’s easy to show your true colors when you are covered. Drop those names!!!
For the person who commented about cancel culture (then deleted it) … it’s not cancel culture… it’s accountability culture. We all are to be held accountable for our actions. Don’t hide behind a Sesame Street character with your true racists beliefs or feelings.
Yooo the trust pump knockdown on that baby is crazy.
That was the worst one. That person aggressively walked up to a toddler and knocked her to the ground. Sad
Soo much hate, i don’t understand these people, if that was my kid he would have left with no teeth
But low-key that looked...sexual. He took his entire genital area & made contact with the girl.
I woulda redrum'd his azz.
This is so sad. This is random, I’m only 19 but I remember when my cousins and I were at Canobie lake, it was a lot of us some of us were like 7-12. My oldest cousin was probably 16, but we were in line for a ride and about 2, or 3 went to bathroom and when they came back the white couple/ friends behind us who were definitely in their 20s or older, called us the N word with a hard R. And my older cousins made us leave the line, because we didn’t understand at the time, and they to ignore it. But just seeing this videos it just reminds me of how hard it is growing up in this world as a black person/child. This is just so sad to see. Sorry for rambling…
But let’s be real, we know darn well Sesame Street ain’t racist. Not the show I grew up on at least
Sesame street might not be but Sesame place is obviously racist as hell
Exactly. This is a separate business that licensed the use of the Sesame Street brand.
@@PaulasPicks Maybe so but it’s still a representation of Sesame Street…the videos is clear signs of racism regardless if you believe their racist or not
Not the point
It’s definitely not, and the fact that this is an entirely different company using their name while being racist assholes is damaging. I smell a lawsuit (or a license being taken away at least)
I feel so heartbroken, this little kids deserve better. Poor babys
The parents/adult relatives of this infant should contact an attorney ASAP!!!!!
This is an assault on an infant!!!
Thank you for speaking up. This is infuriating, and I thought this wasn't what Sesame Street ever stood for. I want all those employees to get fired.
Sesame place and sesame street are two different things doofus. They even said it in the vid.
Hopefully soon we can get more content for kids of color. That way they can look forward to seeing them instead of Sesame Street. Thank goodness for Tab Time with Tabitha Brown. My niece loves her.
if i could love this comment i would.

Sesame place and sesame street are two different things SMH
Slapping kids in a mascot costume, we would definitely have to fight.
He said, “Bert done slap the baby” 🤣🤣
Thanks for showing the multiple incidents from multiple characters because most of the news stories I’ve been seeing are only of the one incident. Everyone needs to see that the one with Rosita and the two black girls isn’t an isolated incident. There is a serious widespread racism problem going on with the employees in this park and their attitude toward African Americans.
Wow, I had just said I wanted to take my son back since we always had a great time. Idk who these people are now, but that's definitely not how he was treated 😡
Sick sick sick!! How evil one has to be to be rude to innocent children!!
Sesame place mascots do discriminate these days. Why? I don't know.... I grew up with sesame street, I've been to sesame place several dozen times as a child. Yes, sesame place mascot employees do lack diversity when it comes to interactions. It's really shady and the mascot-guides totally do the same! Shame on them.
I am not familiar with your channel but am thankful I found it this morning.. Even though I know news stations spin stories to support their political views, I still find myself falling into the trap. I had formed an opinion of this story based on a short news clip. My opinion has changed because you showed footage that supported the claim. Again, thank you.
an honest misunderstanding that will be twisted for political motives by people addicted to victimhood
Wait till y'all find out Sesame Street was made SPECIFICALLY for US! Makes this even sadder
Sesame place and sesame street are two different things doofus
First shall be last and the last shall be first...
What goes around also comes around.
Let's teach our children to be self sufficient and to not seek validation from those who don't have your best interests in mind.
Make an effort to go where you are celebrated...
We always put ourselves and our children, in position for this madness. When are we going to get it through our skull, we have no friends.
None.
Thank you!!!💯💯
I agree. But bc bm don't build anything for our children, our children would go without.
This is despicable.
Not so sunny days on Sesame Street anymore
