TBH I never liked her. I sympathised with her character during the sexual assault storyline, but I still never forgave her for how she treated Priya and Leyla.
I've been lucky enough to admit my problem at a very young age. A lot of my friends are too but they won't admit it because 'we're just young and having fun'. But drinking constantly days a week means it's a problem.
Very good actress. Can't imagine how it feels to have an alcohol problem. I have suffered with anorexia and bulimia and depression and I'm not ahsmed of it. I think people need to talk about mental health more. I am proud that I got through it and proving people wrong.
This scene reminds me of when in Coronation Street, Geoff took away Yasmeen's bank cards and only gave her a small amount of money weekly because he convinced her into believing she was an alcoholic - except Geoff was a coercive controller, who domestically abused Yasmeen, whereas Marlon wants to help Laurel free herself from her alcoholism and manage her money better.
I really miss Alicia in Emmerdale. She was my favourite, especially when she said "Have you dropped a bottle or something?" LOL😜😝😂

Holy crap! This has to be the moment her alcoholism got worse! Her actress was doing a great job.
And hats off to Edna aswell (played by the late Shirley Stelfox) proving time and time again that she was the village's only sane person!
