Thanks for your video. As a 60ish grandma, and a first time owner of anything, I was able to accomplish this by myself. I have the Python. Changed the wood grips too, because they are too big for my hands. Keep up the good work.
Having the tools for the job makes all the difference in the world, ive seen gunshops and individuals trying to do this stuff with anything they can get in their hand and then complain that the parts are wrong or garbage because they buggered the small parts up
I finally got around to getting this sight for my 5 inch python. Way better than stock but I ran into issue with the roll pin. The one that came with the sight bent while trying to drive it in so I used the one that was in it because it was all I had on hand I think the end flattened out because one end is flush with that frame and won’t go in any further.
I had just picked up my new colt python 2 days ago. I noticed that the rear sight is loose. Are Wilson Combat sights easy to find or would I have to order it.

yes, i can see the spring. and the sight is under tension. I think the tits on the underside of the screw are not catching the detent on the sight.@@TerryBenton
I love my Python. One small inconvenience that I can take care of and I have lifetime reliability makes it worthwhile. Ive never had a weapon that didn’t need a little love at some point, no matter the price.
@@TerryBenton More that welcome and thank you for posting. I did change my front sight out since my tritium was useless, I went with the Wilson fiber optic. I would like to replace my rear on the elite with some fiber optic but as I type this... not an option

Thank you for watching. Glad it helped
Nice video on a great upgrade product. I put a set of Wilson Combat sights on alley new Pythons and Anacondas.
They are definitely an upgrade. Thank you for watching
Good job.
Having the right tools is key.

@@TerryBenton you’re welcome.
Thank you for producing the video.
I also produce videos and I know how much work it can be.

This is very true. This is why I stressed so hard to make sure folks use the correct tools. Thanks for watching

Did you use the exact size punch?
Did you use the exact size punch? Soft rubber hammer? It should be fine with the factory roll pin anyway
@TerryBenton yes I did 1/16 punch
@dmw3086 That is strange. You should be fine. The factory roll pin is fine. Maybe it was just a bad pin
A tritium night sights version of these sights for the Python - Anaconda from Wilson Combat would make a very good option.
I do know they have fiber optic, and I am pretty sure you can get a night sight version. I'll have to look to verify. Great thought!
@@TerryBenton How's shooting with them vs the rubber grips, big difference or small?
I changed mine out and could not get Wilson combats roll pin installed so I just used the one that came with original sight
If it is a snug fit, then that will work. Cool!
Thanks for sharing with us!!

Are Wilson Combat sights easy to find or would I have to order it.
You have to order them directly from wilson combat. They usually have then in-stock to ship out immediately
Where'd you get the wood grips for the Anaconda? Sure makes the .44 look better than those ugly rubber grips.
Altamont grips. Thanks for watching
@@TerryBenton Altamont make some fine grips. I decided to go with Wood Hogue
@@gewglesux I just got a set of black altamont ones
@@TerryBenton It took me a long time to decide between Altamonte and Hogue. how do you like them?
@@TerryBenton I like a "grooved" Grip
Will this new sight have to be dialed in ?
It is not my gun. He can dial.it in
Lol. I am seriously considering getting g a 4.25 inch though
Best to use a hollow ground tip screwdriver.
That will work also
What about left and right adjustment ?
It has both windage and elevation adjustments on the wilson combat site. They are very precise
You need a roll pin starting punch set. Made me cringe when you took the hammer to it. Nice sight. Ordering one.
Thanks for watching

Is that sight 50-state legal? I heard the ATF is making a rule against them to protect the grizzly bears. And squirrels.
Grizzly bears are safe unless you are using a 45acp
For $1,500 plus tax a revolver should not require aftermarket sights.
I agree but the quality if this revolver it is worth more than 1500 to me.
