I really want a ThunderBolt ver Rick Dom. The Dom design really interests me alot.
Heaven forbid a MG version of this...the price would make my Sazabi ver KA look cheap, and don't get me started on the size if it goes MG...oooh boy.

Gun looks as if it has more detail than the mobile suit
Becaus ethe suit is one of the first so not much detail more cartoonish
Wonder why bandai isn't making a whole lot of thunderbolt kits
Would have been great to see Bandai do more with this line. I always adored the Gelgoog and Gundam Head designs from the manga

Kinda wanna 3D print a chunk of debries to attach this to so they can hang from my ceiling and put the fear of Zeon into my other Gunpla

Got my original Zaku II and Big Gun for $20 on sale on Amazon a few years back. I love the space design of the Zaku, with the extra thrusters.

sweet!! I like the anime big gun colors. I have all the manga versions and I gotta say the recolors for the anime don't look bad. But still love the manga box art better.
Now, bandai needs to get us an MG psycho zaku soon.

For the price, I expected a spring loaded firing mechanism. Yet it still looks good anyway.
I just love the idea of this thing, a cannon so big that has to be or was designed to be operated by a Mecha, this is also why I like the HG scale, the smaller size allows for items like this to be made at a relatively cheap price
I would love this kit as a 1/100 size. I am a big fan of MG and the bigger scale kits
The Resin kit of the big gun is the BEST version 😏

You see Barney, when feddies shoot your fuel tank you won't need to be afraid. The extra explosives will only make you go *faster*

I believe the lack of a closed fist for the right hand is due to the one scene where Daryl's long-haired friend (name?) was attacked and pushed by the Full Armor Gundam after losing the Zaku's right arm; this is as Daryl was looking in the scope of the Big Gun while the long-haired guy was saying to shoot him anyway (and was using his left fist to bang on the FA Gundam's shields), right before Io pushed the Zaku forward with a missile when the one-armed Zaku exploded.
The zaku machine gun is a bit different than the normal zaku machine gun. The stock is smaller an easier to fit around the arm

I love your opening and closing videos. I first started watching your channel I think a year ago and these were the types I saw, along with the 2.0 video opening. Anyway, great video and breakdown of the kit ! I would get it, but for some reason I think the big gun looks like the 88mm flak gun from the GI Joe toys of the 80’s. Not that it’s bad, but ehhh.... I’d have to get past that image to make this look more futuristic

It would be cool to make use of the integrated clamps for weird diorama stuff, clamp the guna at weird angle, and the suit pressed against wreckage adjacent...
This review made me wish Gundam Thunder Bolt would feature the Kaempfer. I'd love to add their take on the mobile suit to my collection.
Would it be possible to kitbash this with the origin Zaku II? Specifically the backpack.
My zaku that came with this kit had REALLY stiff elbow joints. I could barely move them for posing. I guess not everyone had this problem
For anyone who had this big gun, is it compatible with the MG size Zaku?
If possible could you measure the length of the Big Gun, I can kind of get a representation of the size in comparison to HG/MG kit, but couldn't get a good idea of the length.
I wonder how the high grade zaku one looks with it
So many stickers it makes me no want to get it. I love the Bugu!
It could be made to be held by an MG kit.
But as is, the handles are too small thin and small for an MG kit to hold
I turned the mag on my bazooka up so it could hold it better.

You must of forgotten this was the anime verison cause you said the anime verison was the Manga verison
How in the fuuuuck does the big gun NOT tilt up and down? Kind of important for an artillery or anti-air piece, even in space, especially once it's clamped down. 🤦🏿♂️

Trying to imagine how big the Big Gun would be in real life... 1/144 as a numerical figure isn't very helpful.
If you mean the barrel, just eyeballing it, I would say you're probably looking at somewhere around 200mm. If you mean the entire thing...calculate the area of the gun, then multiply by 144.
Gotta get me another one. Butchered the gun, I think I could do a better job.

Yep, it was a pain to watch because of it. Don`t know why they like that shitty jazz so much. But interestingly enough I didn`t mind it in cowboy bepop.
