Just got my first one. How I wish we had done it sooner…My 3yo was 2 when we brought her to the Grand Canyon with her grandparents. My father insisted he could watch her while my mom and I took a walk. We come back 30 minutes later and my daughter looks like the victim of a house fire. My dad said she was bolting the whole time and he tried yo catch her and she went down on her face. Dust and dirt and scratches all over her face… she looked absolutely crazy. But at least she was alive.
We to are going to a few canyons this year and I have a 3 year old who bolts and explores. Thinking about getting this. How was your experience using this? does it seem like it can bear a good amount of weight?
My daughter has autism and so I have pretty extensive experience with using harnesses and leashes. I own this specific model and I ended up modifying it significantly….maybe I can make a video to display. Was unusable as shipped but is now our primary harness/leash.
My son is turning 2 in a month and he’s notorious for running away from us. My wife is at her wit’s end so i think we need to resort to something like this. I feel bad about getting a leash but my son has seriously no regard for anything and even when we chase after him he thinks it’s a game. He has already taken off on us and almost made it to the street where there are constantly cars driving by. Ufffda
Harnesses can be an issue for some children, Danny. I know you were joking but you bring up a valid point. Some children on the spectrum will not tolerate a harness. Long story short: Parents, do your due diligence. Take care, man
I'll need that soon! My baby is 8 months, thx for the tip

@@wesmantooth5908 some children really need those so they won't run off.
