I've seen them live at the Whisky in LA 3 times,best live band out there today. I flew from Ohio to LA just to see them,twice,and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I've met & spoken with the girls on several occasions and they are the most fan friendly young ladies you'll ever meet. When they found out my 7yo grandson was a fan,they invited him to LA because they wanted to meet him,which they did! Those are the 3 most charismatic & humble young ladies I've ever met...ever! "The Warning Cave" is what they call their basement studio. "De (Tour) was a charity event to raise money for small venues. They write awesome lyrics, but they tell a helluva story with just their expressions. I am so glad you are going to check out more of their music. There is a lot worth checking out.

Yes, they have grown up!! It was great watching you react to this. They are the Villarreal sisters, (l. to r.) Alejandra, then 15 and the tallest, Paulina, then 18 and the smallest, and Daniela, 20 at the time. The Warning Cave is their basement studio, and (DE)TOUR was a daylong, multi-artist, multi-venue virtual concert on UA-cam to benefit small venues that were suffering from the loss of live shows due to the pandemic. Some artists performed live in empty venues and some submitted video performances. This was The Warning's submission. The hosts decided to play it twice, because there were so many The Warning fans in the live chat. One of those fans who ended up being a new fan was Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, who now wants to take The Warning on tour with her, when live shows resume! Thank you for reacting to The Warning!! The Warning do not require gimmicks. During their live shows they do use a back tracks to accompany a song, such as piano or a special effect done with a guitar that would normally be difficult for a three piece band to do without it. Even Rush used back tracks.

Great reaction! I discovered them last fall after having the Foo Fighters cover Pretender popup all summer in recommendations. Then I saw a reaction of old Enter Sandman video, remembering seeing it years ago. Then I just got caught up in watching all the old covers and newer stuff. Joined their Patreon and their fan interaction is fantastic! My all times favorites of Rush,Zep, and Floyd now includes The Warning. I love both of their Muse covers!
This song is from their 2nd album Queen of the murder scene which is a masterpiece, it's a concept album in better words is a Rock Album , you have to react to the whole L? P. You'll be amazed! Regards

Great point that they are a "no nonsense" band - perfect description. And what has always amazed me is the passion and energy they show in literally every performance. I mean they are playing in their basement studio but they still try to perform like they are in front of a crowd. That's showing respect to the music and their fans! My favorite band . . by far!!
The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 16 as of March 2021) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 19 as of March 2021) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 21 as of March 2021) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band.
They had been uploading their musical journey to UA-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!.The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston.
They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues.
In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. The Warning is totally fan funded through Patreon, UA-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever!
So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise fund for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lock down was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on UA-cam and Facebook achieving well over 50000 simultaneous viewers on March 25 2020. They have since performed from The Warning a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville Tx for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star.
On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After 3 months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February 2021. All that remains as of 22 02 21 is the album design and artwork amd logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by April 2021.

I had a similar experience to yours when I first found this band. I first saw the Enter Sandman video you mentioned and the their original Dust to Dust. The performance was two years earlier than this one, but Dust to Dust and Dull Knives are both from their second album, so musically, I had the same shock.
The bassist is now the tallest at 16 😆

This song is song #9 of the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene which is a dark tale of obsession, murder and madness. You need to plunge into the whole album QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE and do reactions in the order of the album which tells the story of a woman’s decent into insanity after she murders a few people and then ultimately takes her own life. The album opens with the listener at the girl’s funeral. Seriously, listen to the lyrics as well as the music and do the reactions in the order of the album. You won’t be able to get ANY of the songs out of your head! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Lzzy Hale from Halestorm was one of the main artists in that same virtual rock festival. After watching this same performance, she was so impressed by them that she said (during the festival's live chat) that she wanted The Warning to go on tour with her once live music concerts are open again. It was a fun day, the chat was overwhelmingly support for The Warning throughout the day, so much so that the host (Rolling Live Studios) played this video twice because of popular demand.

At the time of this video they were 20, 18 and 15.
They have an EP and two LP: "XXI Century blood" and "Queen of the murder scene" which is a masterpiece so you have a lot of good songs to react.
Their third album is coming and will be a sonic tsunami.

I would never classify this as "Girl Rock". This is pure rock and roll. The ladies were born from the ashes of rock legends of the 70s and 80s. Rock lives again.

speaking of loving Muse, The Warning has been on tour, opening for muse, for the 2nd season. They opened 4 shows in Mexico and were asked back to tour with Muse in UK and Europe, where they are opening 5 shows, as well. This band is on fire! Check out their performances at Teatro Metropolitan, from August of last year - oh my God! Other fun facts, The Warning toured with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless, last year. Lzzy Hale was so inspired by Dany that she came ot on stage, during The Warning's set and presented Dany with a guitar - an incredible Gibson Explorer that Lzzy had ordered custom made for Dany. Theey toured Canada with Three Days Grace and Dany was asked to come out on stage and sing Painkiller with the band, for several shows. This year, Three Days Grace was at 2 of the same festivals that The Warning played, in Germany and Dany was asked to sing, again- in front of hundreds of thousands of fans. Last year, The Warning opened for Guns N' Roses and they are opening 2 shows, in September with them, again. As I said - they are on fire. Would love to see more!
Keep on trucking, you will not be disappointed. Any of their live performance are great. The very early ones leave you with the impression of how adorable it is to see three children rocking out. Move on a few years and you are left asking yourself “what did I just see?” (Check out their cover of The Pretender for the Foo Fighters for that full effect). Move on to anything from the past two years and nothing but expletives will do. Holy shite these three are great!

This EP was made when the girls were kids, Dany was barely 15 years old!
I hope this encourages you to know the lyrics of the songs, otherwise, you will be missing something that makes this band Very Different, as "gringo" friends like to say; "They are in a League Apart!"
Their lyrics will surprise you, once you get past the mirage of "simple lyrics" and get into the messages and themes they deal with.
Having said the above, here is a little clarification about a phrase used in this song.
I think it's time to clarify the phrase "Dull Knives (Cut Better)" a bit.
The phrase comes from a long time ago, it refers to knives used as a tool, which with work and time, become nicked, and even get to rust a little and, obviously, lose edge, which made work difficult.
When a person had to work forcibly with such a knife and suffered an accident, the pain and risk was considerable.
For convenience, and to NOT complicate life, the phrase blunt knife was used to refer to a knife in those conditions.
In other words, the fans who "imagined" that it was a knife that was losing its edge and therefore causes more pain, are on the "right path". This ladies (The Warning) when using that phrase in the song refer to a knife in the conditions I describe.
In case you wonder how do I know that?
Well, I'm Mexican, from the same city "home of The Warning".

Great reaction! You're right - there is a huge mid section of songs and performances that I think you will enjoy. One of the songs that I'd recommend is the prolog piece from a concept album that they independently put out; the album is titled Queen of the Murder Scene. The song is called "Dust to Dust" performed live at Foro Didi in 2019: ua-cam.com/video/23U8jqI6vLE/v-deo.html. This is one of the few songs where the drummer Paulina sings lead while playing the drums! It's so bad ass! By the way, it'd be missed opportunity to neglect their earlier cover works since you get to see their influences and their progression. Yes Ale went from being the shortest to tallest in about two years. If you look at some of their really early stuff it looks like her bass is longer than she is tall.

While not as heavy, but also quite musically talented are a trio from Northern Ireland called Dea Matrona (pronounced "Day-a Matrone-A") and they play classic rock covers and originals. Hopefully, people will cease to identify their music as "Girl Rock". It's just ROCK. Yes, they're girls, but they can write, arrange, sing and play as good as if not better than some (maybe most?) guys. I know that their gender and age is somewhat of a novelty right now, but it should ultimately be beside the point. Just sayin'.

They have released their first album for a major U.S. label, Lava/Republic, with the second album on the way this Spring. They r leakingles from it, two r out currently and the third will drop any day now. There is a full concert for the first album with professional sound and video. Also they performed 2 songs at the VMAs this past September (2023). Check 'em out.
