Love how you plated this dish! A beautifully plated dish is key! That’s the one thing we notice and comment when we are at a restaurant is the presentation. I’m not a seafood person but I would try this with chicken. Looks delicious!!

I love when you were discussing the different plates to use. As you know, great food can easily be visually enhanced with some simple plating techniques. The crab salad looks killer and the final salad was definitely worthy of 5 stars!! Awesome job Chef.

Love the over exaggerate squeeze of the lemon. 4. The plating lesson is superb. Question? Do you buy just one plate in a shop? How to prevent from food not following of the stack? Where can I buy "the mulch" the form that you use to plate the crab salad? Both look so delicious! 5. SO INTERESTING!!!! it is a shame I can not give you more then one thumbs up!
You noticed the exaggerated squeeze of the lemon-... lol yes! I have white plates and then I buy plates at a shop- I got the bowl at Anthropologie- I bought 8 of them for summer use. I use them for about stews- salads. You can buy the mold online. I’ll send you a text.
I'd love to spend time in US stores as you have so many more options that we get here in the UK, usually crab is sold as white, brown or mixed, sometimes pasteurised and sometimes not. I really like your salad Alex, it's nice to use a ring to create that restaurant style presentation.

Gorgeous Summer Crab "Waldorf" salad Chef and your use of pistachios was a great choice (I was expecting walnuts LOL)...I had no idea about the different types of crab meat and as far as plating up goes I am clueless so this was most interesting from thinking about the styles of plates to the different shades of lettuce this was and is a brilliant tutorial Chef Alexis many thanks for sharing!!!

Oh gosh- plating doesn’t take that long- after you learn the stacking then it takes like one minute- I like making videos like that that teach and cook.

They have those cans at wall mart and Costco and Kroger. Use the special can- - it’s white meat from all over the body - it’s just not the two big muscles from the crab- you can also use shredded chicken- you can add grapes or avocado or mango- anything fruit you want will enhance the brininess of the crab.

I used to make crab tacos (but with fake crab-don’t judge). I’m not sure if I ever bought real crab except still in the shell. Anyway, I love Waldorf salad. My mom used to make it with grapes (I was the seed remover) and apples and walnuts. No crab tho. Lol. 👍❤️😘

Stacking is the number one way chefs use to make something have depth and texture and yes you can do this salad with chicken-

Hi Patrick- walnuts are a usual choice for this salad but I I like the butteriness of the pistachios and the hue of green is pretty-
