You are very welcome. Don't forget Lamberts in Ozark, MO. It is one of our all-time favorites. We have a short video showing it. Food is incredible, and portions are HUGE.
Keeter Center is exceptional in all areas. Quality, freshness, unique dishes and service levels. There is nothing even close and this doesn't even consider that your dollars go to hard working students' education. Keeter Center top of the list BY FAR.
I tried Noodle 21 just this Nov and it proved to be delicious. If you like Asian food you will love this place. It’s an Asian Fusion restaurant. My favorites were the Korean Bibimbap and the Thai Drunken Noodles. I would have probably liked many more menu offerings, but wasn’t in Branson long enough. A fast food place that I tried, that we don’t have in my home state, that was good was Culver’s. Their veggie burger was yummy. I tried it twice.
Great stuff. May I add Pizza by the Chef in Branson West and Kimberling City and also The Filling Station in Lampe for BBQ. Wonderful family owned places.
I loved hearing about the hand rubbed meats at Big D's BBQ. Honestly I was surprised at the quality of all the BBQ places near Branson. Good stuff and girthy portions.
You could have stopped and only shown the Keeter Center, that is the best place to eat in Branson and the prices are reasonable. Food quality, locally produced, is second to none and prices are what you expect. You pretty much have to have a reservation to get in but it's the best place in Branson. During our last visit, we had 15 minutes before our reservation and I went into the building just to your right as you check in. They had a military display in the entire room, pretty big room, that showed all the former students and their military service, including one former student who in WWII had won a silver star, 2 bronze stars, 2 purple hearts and the Congressional Medal of Honor. It was a great and moving display of sacrifice.
We are headed to Branson at the end of June. I’ve been going to Branson on and off for about 40+ years. Been to some but many here never been to. There will be 9 of us so some of these restaurants might be a challenge for us.
I confess, our family has been to the Longhorn. It's more like a relaxing, big meal, "we're on vacation" celebration. Besides, I rather not drive if I don't have to. Though, the walk across the street from the hotel is perilous. Subbed. Hope you make it to 1k.
I'm going to suggest some of these restaurants to my friends, we try to get together once a month and try different things. We were all class mates from a small school near by. We all live around Harrison, AR now, so Branson is not that far to go to eat.
@@HaveFunLetsTravel hi, we went the Downing Street Pour House today for lunch and it was really good. Three of us got the Chef's special for today which was a great salmon salad with all kinds of fruits and nuts in it all on a bed of mixed greens. The forth person got the smoked chicken dinner. We are now planning on going to other places off the beaten path. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Been years since I've been to Branson, never eat at these places. Years ago we eat at the Farmhouse a lot and the old Wayne's restaurant by 76 Mall . 76 Mall was my favorite store to visit as a child . There were Two steak houses , One on each end of the strip that were delicious. I wish I remembered the name.
76 Music Hall is now called Grand Country and their restaurant is buffet style, mostly. We just ate at Farmhouse Saturday for breakfast and it's still as good as always. I'm not familiar with either of the steakhouses or Old Wayne's. There was an Old Matt's in that area many years ago.
@@HaveFunLetsTravel The Wayne's Restaurant appeared briefly in some 1987 footage I just watched. It was a small restaurant I guess just East of 76 Mall . There were some carnival rides between the Two. Wayne's had good food, and the best Walnut pie you ever sunk a tooth in ! Now I think there's a difference between 76 music hall and the old 76 Mall ?
I would NOT include Long Horn Steakhouse....thats a national chain and if you been in 1 you have been in all of them.....thats like putting a Golden Corral in there.....
Thanks for the info….we’re in Branson a few times a year. Seems like we find ourselves at the same ole places……What is the name of the restaurant that throws roll like Lambert’s?
i feel like these places if their not filled up to the brim with ppl waiting... the food will be good... but is its jammed pack... its not gonna be as good... afterall the branson area is famous for families...
Hungry Hunter was just OK. Mediocre hash browns, mediocre biscuits, but a good omelette. Grand Buffet biscuits are far superior as was everything else we had 2/7/24-2/10/24.
As a 31-year resident, I can tell you that our family goes out to eat all the time. Each and every time we go to one of these, we see lots of locals eating there too. Thanks for your input.
True, but do you ever get tired of cooking and want to go out to eat? We do, and we get tired of chain restaurants. And when we travel, we like to know where the locals go to eat.
Not impressed with Billy Gail's, while hashbrowns were crispy on edges, had puddle of grease underneath. Biscuit and gravy barely warm. Didn't like that put bacon under the gravy, made it soft.
I don't know who the locals were that you surveyed but all the places on your list is all the places the locals DON'T go to. Not giving away our secret favorite places.
It was through a couple Facebook groups for Branson locals as well as a huge email list of locals. We sent out thousands and had over 1,500 replies. We asked what their favorite local, not chain, restaurants were and left it to them to fill in the blank. We didn't offer multiple choice answers. After getting their replies, we calculated their answers to come up with this list. I'm know there are lots of other local favorites that should make the list too.

Keeter Center is the best. I love that place and the idea of the school. I even bought one of the hoodies while there.
We love their food too.
I've been to Branson more times than I can count and I've not been to most of these restaurants. I will now. Thanks for the info. :)
Next time you are here, let me know. We will get together and go to a couple of these.
Can't wait to try these when we come to Table Rock in the beginning of April ...Big Thanks!!
You are very welcome. Don't forget Lamberts in Ozark, MO. It is one of our all-time favorites. We have a short video showing it. Food is incredible, and portions are HUGE.
@@HaveFunLetsTravel ... oh good, we will be coming from Minnesota and will hit Lamberts on the way down .... super thanks!!

We agree 100%. Best food in SW Mo.
Mel's Hard Luck Diner was always my favorite when we would come to Branson. The food was good and the entertainment was always good and a lot of fun.
I agree. Gotta love the music of the 50s and the food is good. Great combination.

Awesome experience down there and y’all are on more than most. Been waiting for these videos. Cool watching yall go after them
Thank you so much. We are glad it helped you. Keep watching, we have big plans for this year.
Great stuff. May I add Pizza by the Chef in Branson West and Kimberling City and also The Filling Station in Lampe for BBQ. Wonderful family owned places.
Those are good too.
I loved hearing about the hand rubbed meats at Big D's BBQ. Honestly I was surprised at the quality of all the BBQ places near Branson. Good stuff and girthy portions.
You and me both!
Great video. We were there last month and luckily went to almost every spot on the list. Now we have to go back soon to round out the top ten!
It's good to hear people are liking our list. Thanks for letting us know.
@@ricknation6552 which one was the best or the one your most excited to go back to?
Billie Gail's is our favorite. Either location.
I will be trying out these restaurants...I love the hidden gems
Glad to hear you liked our video.

You are right about the military display. It was a surprise when we walked in. And, their memorial park is beautiful also.

I'm sure they can handle 9 people. Be safe and have fun.
Keeter Center can handle a big group, you just have to make the reservation in advance and you will be seated on time.
I use to live in Branson, and most of the place I use to go to have been gone for a long time except for the Branson Cafe.
I didn't realize just how much it had changed until we started making this video. Glad you enjoyed it.
We ate at a place that was a huge barn. It also had gift shop and theater. The restaurant had the best bacon I ever had.
I'm not sure which place that was. You've got me thinking on this one.
Hmm wondering myself
Thank you for these tips
You are so welcome. Glad we could help.

I agree about walking across 76. It can be tricky at times.

Thanks for this video! We will be there in few weeks, can’t wait.
Can I ask where you stayed?
@@ostromadventures we are glad to hear you liked our video. We have lived in Branson since 1993. Are you looking to stay in a motel or campground?
@@HaveFunLetsTravel we are traveling with a dog so vacation rental or cabin that is pet friendly.
That I'm not sure about. Maybe ABC Campground, Stagecoach RV Park, or Musicland KOA. All of these campgrounds offer cabins.
@@HaveFunLetsTravel great thanks!
Thank you. Nice to know
Glad you enjoyed it. Share it with your friends. It may give them an idea of a new place to eat.
I'm a local from Hollister. I eat in Harrison Arkansas. Less in taxes, shorter lines, better food !
We have a few favorites in Harrison, too.
Wow your guys have a drive in in St Louis all the drive inns are gone lets you want to go over to bellviell Illinois
St Louis?
Billy Bob’s Dairyland for great burgers, chili, and fried pies. We like Branson Farmhouse restaurant over Branson Cafe.
It's been a long time since we've been to Billy Bob's. We need to go back.
BILLY BOBS THE BEST!!!!! I first tried them when they shared space with the gas station......Go every time I come down to Branson.
I would NOT include Long Horn Steakhouse....thats a national chain and if you been in 1 you have been in all of them.....thats like putting a Golden Corral in there.....
You are correct. That was an oversight on our part.
Thanks for the info….we’re in Branson a few times a year. Seems like we find ourselves at the same ole places……What is the name of the restaurant that throws roll like Lambert’s?
Lamberts was the original, but Fall Creek Steak House on Hwy 165 in Branson is the one I think you are talking about.
What's the place where the waitresses sing while they deliver the food and take orders?
That's the Hard Luck Diner inside the Shoppes At Grand Village, which is next door to the Aquarium on the Boardwalk on Hwy 76.
Did you really put longhorn steak house on this list
Yes, we surveyed over 1,500 local families and didn't give any multiple choices. They wrote down their favorites. It was in the top 10.

We try to find smaller local places wherever we go.

Sorry you had this experience.
I think this is where the locals said to go so you would go there and stay out of their favorite spots. These are touristy spots.

Majority of locals wii eat at home

Branson cafe……we sent it back terrible
