I'm building two custom 1/24 scale Mercedes ML320 Lost World trackers from Jurassic Park 2 over the next week, and those entire trucks are covered in bars and cages of all types...you have no idea how much this video helped future me. Thanks
Thanks for sharing! Suck patience and skill! Just a comment on the design, the roll hoop, back of the roof hoop, and rear shock bars should come together at one point. They do this to triangulate the cage and it helps with structural integrity and disperse energy.
I found a long cylindrical 2mm jewelers file that works amazing for “fish mouthing” the ends of each bar so they connect better than just cutting them flat.
@@JHHobby i just wish ppl would post up like plans for certain kits so we can download them and use as a template to build same cage to help out guys like me who isn't very good with scratch building in 1/24 scale yet or for lodeling at all in that matter
Great tip there. Love the way you made the roll cage of Mr.Champion S15 ☺️🥇🏆Always kept away from creating a full custom roll cage, but seeing your video I want to try it out too. Thanks for the share 👍
can this be done with just leftover sprue? removing rods and extras and sanding it would make it just the same, i would think. just have to heat and bend. right?

Wow, I have been wanting to build a roll cage for one of my 1/10scale rc's but didn't want to weld metal, this helps alot, and looks very good!
Glad to hear that! 😁😁

Very cool, even though theres no "main hoop".
Cant hate it, but as somebody who has built cages for a living for around 2 years, its annoying to see.

@@JHHobby they look damn good to me and you do one hell of a job.

The sprew

Very informative tutorial! Your work is very inspiring.

Thank you friend!😄😄

Thanks man!😄😄 im still doin my R34..hopefully next month😁
@@JHHobby so much time my friend 🙄🙄 can't wait, keep it up!
How strong is a cage build with this material? Would it withstand rollovers on a 1/24 crawler?
Awesome work
Great job man!🔝🔝
Thanks!😄😄
Instead of using a lighter to soften the plastic you could run the spot you want tp bend in hot water. A lot safer and no risk for fumes
Thanks for the tips!
This helped me so much thank you
Great! Glad to hear that😄😄
I’ve also tried making a roll cage out of the excess plastic where you cut out parts for 1/24 models and it isn’t that bad either
Yeah u definitely can use those too😄
I used cotton swabs because I can't find styrene in my country I made a rollcage it turn out pretty sick :)
Where can i get the fire extinguisher as inside your model car??

@@JHHobby i just started on 1/64. i must say, they're hard lol. too tiny and too hard to shape🤣
Cool!
