I too like these trains. I sometimes get on the Refurbished D stock underground trains (Class 230) on the Marston Vale line to Bletchley station, then jump onto an 8 car Class 350 to Milton Keynes Central. I love the doors, and the slight angular shape of the ends of the carriages. The class 350 trains are not the best, but they are much nicer then the previous class 321's. They feel more spacious and modern (obviously). I am not a person of reduced mobility, but when I travel I do look out for things that could effect someone with reduced mobility or other types of special requirements and I point it out to the rail operators in areas they do well and could improve on. For example when you board at Bow Brickhill station heading for Bedford, the platform is slightly too small for some larger mobility vehicles and have to mount the side of the boarding ramp (one is carried in each train), When getting off at worburn sands heading for Bedford the induction loop pole is right at the end of the ramp. When getting off at Bow Brickhill station there is a bench slap bang at the end of the boarding ramp making it impossible for mobility vehicles to board or exit without moving the train forwards appox. 4 feet. Sorry, I've gone on a bit of a tangent. I haven't looked to see what mobility access there are on these trains as I usually position myself on the train to alight where the lift is located. The other day me and my partner went to Centre MK by train and had a vegan african curry and some vegan donuts. Good video, brought back some recent memories.
Hi glad you enjoyed the video, i never thought to look myself but i imagine with them being more modern units that they would be more suited for mobility, especially with the new compliance rules in place. thanks for watching. Tom
I think the OO Bachmann Voyagers just sound rough. Mine ran well but sounded as loud as the real thing. Needs a run soon it’s been years. I found myself having to whistle the little whizzy whirly gears when breaking sound on your 350 there. Not the same without that iconic sound! Always in the air at Milton Keynes Central.
I thought it was just my voyager that was worn out when it made that noise lol, yeah i am tempted to get the 350s sound fitted id really like to be able to run them properly as an 8 car set, i used to get these trains weekly from liverpool to birmingham new street and i do miss the noise funnily enough, thanks for watching. Tom
@@northwesttrainsmodels yes I had one under construction but my garage where the layout is was damaged in a tornado. So its not been touched for a year as no power in their now and repairs still not finished insurance take forever
thanks Philip ive still got to add lights to the 2nd platform and maybe some street lights to help illuminate it abit more, i do like the nite time running. i wish i did use peco points from the start but i suppose its all lessons we learn from experience, when i first started the layout it was nothing more than a double loop with some loop sidings and it was just a quick build so i could run the 00 gauge trains i had (mainly old hornby) and because i had quite a few trainsets that i collected over the years i used the track from them and just purchased a few express points because i could also get the matching curves for them and it saved using flexi track which i hadnt used much at the time and also i didnt now how big the deadspots were in the points or how they would affect smaller locos, i mite still replace them before i start ballasting but as i had wiring and it took me nearly 5 years to get the existing point motors wired up its whether i can get round to doing it all over again, what do you think i should do.
i think there a pretty decent model but i wouldnt pay silly money for them though and my one does derail on 2nd radius points so i keep it on the outer track, mine was a 2nd hand model so i cant say thats the same for all models but it runs well and working lights look good, so otherall i would recomend at a reasonable price, thanks for watching hope this helps. Tom

Great addition Yom yo your collection ........Peter
thanks Peter i gave the wheels another clean and seems to have done the trick with keeping it running smoothly
That is really good Tom, I especially like the night time video. Why do you not use Peco points? They are far better than Hornby.
