You don't have to reset it to factory settings. You just need to identify the cache cow apps and clear the cache, restart to dump the additional used memory and you are good to go.
I came to the comments to see if someone mentioned clearing the cache of the apps. Thats 100x easier than factory resetting and downloading/signing in to all the programs you want. Even if they went app by app and cleared the cache for every single app it would still be faster. Show them how to clear the cash and this video becomes far more helpful. For anyone looking to do this: Follow the same process he went through looking for the delete app button. Click clear cache. Done. Your fire stick will now run faster without the weight of all the saved cache. This needs to be done per app and over time you'll easily remember which cache's often fill up and which ones you dont ever have to empty.
Clearing cache doesn't delete the hidden files. It's usually within file explorer that you need to search. Most people don't do this because it's a scavenger hunt
If buffering viewing IPTV after checking the modem, router, device cache etc. if still buffering it could be the ISP causing the issue in which a von may help. However the ISP can still hinder a network if it sees a vpn is being used. I use a vpn that uses camoflauge mode which makes vpn traffic look like regular internet traffic so the isp won’t disturb the network. Same as using a vpn service that uses obfuscated servers. Since switching to this type of vpn i can stream live tv via Tivimate with little to no issues.
Hello. I just happened to come across your video and I was wondering how did you get 13GB of storage on your device. I just have a 4K Firestick with 5.3GB available. I also have a third-party live stream app that buffers a lot. I usually have to unplug my Firestick to get ot going again.
had all o this when i bought one. sometimes an app is just not running as good as the last time you used it. sometimes its at the other end. and theres nothing you can do . have a back up app annd watch it there
Firestick4K+ So, if after all these tricks fail, would 500 Mbps speed solve the issue? I tried going from 50 to 150 Mbps, but this made no difference. The original Bell streamer zero problems. Never lags or buffering, picture quality is excellent, whereas the firestick fails especially at sports.
You can easily add more memory to the fire stick. Without a special power adapter you can only go up to 64gb. Grab yourself an OTG adapter and a USB flash drive. Make sure the flash drive is empty or doesn't have data you want as you'll need to format it with the fire stick. The 4k max sticks will auto format, the older versions require a work around you'll need to look up. Also if you are using a 3rd party provider to watch sports 99% of the time it is the uploader that is causes the issue, especially if you aren't receiving buffering on other channels. I was constantly buffering and looking for solutions while trying everything under the sun. Nothing worked. Switched providers after trying multiple (Almost all give out 2-3 day trial codes) and i see buffering once a month now.
Hi. Bought a fire tv 4K max recently. My internet speed is hovering around 250mbps, yet it still says that I can only stream at 720. I have set the stick to the lowest resolution of 720p 50hz, yet I still have buffering issues on live tv. I have closed unwanted apps, cleared cache and still have 7.35 GB free space. I have not gone to factory reset yet. Comments??? Thanks Al
You know I'm starting to get fedup with firesticks
I think we need to move on !
Why you mad?
Chromecast is amazing as well as the ONN 4k for $20 no bloatware

For 99% of people, they don't know how to do that nor want to go on the scavenger hunt

Thank you it worked 🎉🎉🎉
Glad I could help
I have both Chromecast and firestick, now with all of this buffing I don't get it that much with Chromecast, just firestick why Amazon ?
How do you run the speed test within the app? You never really showed that in this video
Yes I did. You need to watch the full video

No way to add memory other than deleting apps?
You can but I don't recommend

Because all apps will always have a little but of cache. Specially if you open them and browse
@rohasstreamingtech it's just on all my other firesticks they are back to 0 after I clear them
