I did a custom suspension system just like yours many years ago on my custom-made Covid 19 Rally Car.
Being a Rally car...it didn't last very long.
For a touring car, it's probably perfect.

The suspension is more likely to be the o-ring holding the carbon fibre piece in place.

The spring is the carbon fiber itself. The oring was just for testing but not needed.

How are you damping? Grease in the hinge pins?

1M silicon but not good enough. Working on small damper tubes.

@@rccartips you could get some from 1/10 F1 or 1/12 cars. if those are too long you could use mini z dampers also

Volvo 960 got a leaf spring.

Those are called 'leaf springs ' they were used in early full sized cars but discarded as inferior decades before you were born.
