Garrett has been making great detectors for years and keep it up, maybe my dream will come true and I will be able to search with equipment such as Vortex, greetings from Poland. Sorry for my English.
I enjoyed the debut broadcast. I think this will be a very successful line of detectors for Garrett at the level of detectors these Vortex models target. One thing is certain, now is a great period of time to be in the market for a new medal detector!!

I have used my AT Pro now for about 9 years. I may have to upgrade. I like the idea of the vortex.
If you believe the vortex to be a good detector then give one to calabash digger to test ! He will give an honest unbiased review. ONLY a positive review from him could convince me to buy one.
If I understand it correctly, only the Vortex 9 is suitable for European detectorist, as we expect to find thin silver and small gold coins?
When i took my Apex to Myrtle Beach the exact thought was they need to make one of these waterproof cause the apex to me is exactly what was needed and surpasses the atpro
It definitely does not outpast the a t pro. The apex was a disappointment

I do a lot of old home land noticed your nails are new not iron old square nails do you have iron filter is a must

Redo the nail test with a truly non ferrous nail.... then add depth. You know, a rusty square nail. Those you showed are just galvanized. They are closer to NON ferrous than ferrous. 🤦

kinda funny how both minelab and now garrett gives us " revolutionary " things that XP have used for years , just in a different form via XY screen . only thing it dosent have is the multiple target ID , but this can be heard via sound if you know what your doing . and the upgrade via buying a software .. not sure what to feel about it tbh

Dose Any know if the numbers will match the same as my at pro, for example, a quarter being 85 On the Garrett At pro . are Target identification numbers going to be the same on the vortex?
That's something I wish the industry could come together and standardize if that is possible.

I love how there are so many experts on here judging a machine they have not had their hands on yet. I feel like these are Nokta and Minelab fanboys.
Likely to fail in Europe if the upgrades are not available. Time will tell.
IVE OWNED 4 garret MACHINES THEN BOUGHT A NOX 800. NOX 800 is hands down a better machine. THE NOX HAS MF SO THIS " NEW TECHNOLOGY" THEY CLAIM ISNT NEW AT ALL. JUST SAVE UP A LIL MORE MONEY AND BE PATIENT PPL. BUY YOURSELF A MINELAB. WHY NOT JUST RELEASE 1 machine with all the upgrades. THUS SADDENS ME
Nobody said that MF was a new technology with this detector. It is the Multi-Dimensional MF that is the key.
Same depth as before
10 years in making this vortex will suck the treasure out of the ground i tell you no need to dig.
Garrett has been the biggest train wreck since the 1990s! Minelab and fisher came out with multi freq detectors now 30 plus years later they saw the light?
the machine looks horrible! screen gets a F- , buttons are complete sand catchers , no programs and functionally is limited at best and they are now saying dont worry dont worry we got updates! I can see why they painted it blue as everyone knows the little green machines were junk on salt water beaches! the Apex was beyond a disaster out of the box only went to 20 khz while Minelab and others are at 40 plus khz! all weighted to small gold!
lets be honest Garrett should be out of business! bad companies need to fail! made in the USA with Chinese parts!
