It is very sad for me to have to comment on this cover, because the first person who sang it is no longer with us. At least, not physically. But of course we can keep him alive through his songs. At least I know that the memorable ones, i.e. both this one and "All By Myself" will remain in the memories of many. I had never heard a cover of yours so often if it weren't for the repeated times my mom would make me hear the original track, one (if not her favorite) of Eric Carmen's musical pieces. Of course, not all the credit can go to him, since behind a great artist is a series of producers and composers who take care of the instrumental work or the lyrics, but this and many other songs are easily recognizable by his distinctive voice, and that's what makes them timeless classics. I would have to be a poet to describe how beautiful Beatrice Florea's eyes are. You are such a beautiful soul with such a good heart. You are a very gifted and talented singer, and this song was perfect, but everything taken together is so much more amazing and wonderful, and powerful. Imagine someone carefully tip toeing through a high mountain meadow. There are beautiful tall pine trees all around. There are birds singing in a symphony. You can smell the pine scent. Among all the flowers in that meadow, one exquisite flower, in all it's glory, pops out at you, it is so beautiful it is like it is singing the aria from Madam Butterfly with a full orchestra -- how do you even begin to describe it's beauty. The only thing I could do is give it a name, I would call it "Beatrice Florea", and I would thank God for giving me the experience of seeing its glorious beauty. High mountain wildflowers do happen, but I think only if someone really sees and appreciates it. God bless you. You are joyfully giving your gift to the world, and, beautiful, precious, lovely woman, it is appreciated.
