Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"
I've Been To Alton Towers Theme Park Near Stoke On Trent In Staffordshire Near The City Of Birmingham In England Back In August 2016 And It Was Super Awesome. Thanks Mate. X
24:59 I swear to God! you nearly brought a tear to my eye just then! As a kid, I begged to go to Alton Towers for years, don't even know why it feels so special to me. 🤯😭😂🤣
Battle gallions is sooo fun! We went there and we stayed on it for the last 2 hours of the day it was on big water fight with loads of people it was amazing x
Theinfocoaster I’m not been rude but when Congo river rapids opened in 1986 it wasn’t called that it was called the Grand Canyon rapids but in 1992 Katanga canyon opened so I was changed to Congo river rapids
Does anyone remember a crooked house walk through? I remember a "house that jack built" with uneven floors and walls, moving sections, dark areas, mirrors but I never see it mentioned in videos or lists of attractions. I'm sure it was down near the left of the lake.
@@JT-tk2jn I'm sure it was a house or cottage. Looking back at family photos I've discovered there was one at Frontier land so I'm maybe misremembered.
Smiler is a fantastic ride, how many accidents do you see in UK(not many)Check other countries there not so safe.Condolences to the people who got hurt on the Smiler.😘🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I think it's one that the younger you ride the better the ride. Now As a full grown adult it's massively disappointing. But as a 15/16 year old that hadn't been on many coasters it was truly amazing!! (It may of even been my first coaster....)
You can't escape me. I will find your channels everytime.

This is a great documentary, you went full in depth about the history, I miss corkscrew, but I like galactica is so good
Nemesis is dark, scary, and brooding. Whereas Toyland Tours is cute, adorable, and fun.
I love your vids
Thank you so much! I will hopefully be uploading more soon when summer officially starts for me!
@@coastertimecapsule OK thanks an you do more on UK parks

Most accidents happen in Scotland sadly. Not many good parks in Scotland anyway
It was terrible for what happened that day. A nice day out ending badly :(
I was there when the smiler crash happened(not on the ride)
I visited in 2015 and it really was empty, every ride was a free fastpass.
i litterally stayed at the hotel it was amazing
1999 ug land opened and canal boat was rethemed to riverbank eye spy
26:08 you said 2009 not 2019

Does the wicker man ever open though?
Last time I checked it does!
For the size and hype, Air/Galactica was very underwhelming I thought.
