I usually like the contrasts in the songs where Mayu mixes harsh vocals with clean, like 'Rise' and 'Revive', but 'Zen' is perfect with just the scream, vocals. I can't imagine how much energy she must expend over the course of an entire gig. I love the bit at the end where Hara-chan has to run back to the mic to deliver her "Hai!".

If Corey Taylor and Bruce Dickinson made a Japanese girl. Mayu’s screams are brutal and her singing is great. Tamu is my new favorite drummer, she can do it all. Saki and Hazuki absolutely shred. Haraguchi-san lays down the perfect bass for all the tracks.
Loved this reaction, brother! They killed it at Aftershock! I saw the live stream from this show a few months back, and at the beginning, it actually looked a bit like Mayu was feeling a bit under the weather. After about 3 songs, she and the rest of the band kicked it into high gear - this song kicked off about the last third of the set, and it was straight fire. I believe this performance is the one that will be in their upcoming DVD which is being released on November 8. Can't wait to see them live again! 💜💜💜🤘🤘🤘

Love this song, It is one of my favorite of theirs. They just kill it. Mayu's screams, for me, are the best in this song. Loved Haraguchi-sun's ending to the song.
My 3 top best vocalists are Saiki, Mayu, Asami. Quite odd actually. They are far different in style of each other. They are all women and all of them are japanese. Japan rule the rock scen nowadays.
I also hear the slipknot influence especially in the guitar (nothing wrong with that, slipknot is one of the greats imo). Her vocal sound really reminds me of Zack from RotM when he sid his harsh screams. She has a very similar (though feminine) sound to his voice imo. Really interesting sound overall though
I can't help but make this comparison, and this is in by no way a diss on The Warning. Love them, and am thrilled with all if their recent success. But I look at the VMA performance and the fans rocking out, and then I imagine THIS at the VMAs, and all the faces. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮🤯
