Hey Mike. I myself am an old west firearms and revolver enthusiast. Seeing all of these Old West firearms is just incredible. If ever seen How the West Was Won, in the scene where Gregory Peck is playing the poker game the covered wagon, he actually pulls out an Adams Navy revolver. Great video!
Another well done video. Fun to look at with a time trip back into history. Love the looks of the1878 sheriffs model and Remington prototype bird head grip revolver.
Thanks for the video. Being from California, I plan on taking a road trip out to Yellowstone come next spring, Along the way there is the Northeastern Nevada Museum in Elko which has a good collection. Then on he other side of he park, I'll visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming. Again, thanks for all your work here.
I live about 100 miles from Springfield Mo. My wife, teenage kids, and myself make it a point to stop in and visit Bass Pro Shops everytime we are in Springfield which is usually a hald dozen times a year. Each time we stop in there, there is something new to see. The firearms museum has got to be my favorite addition, although across from the firearms is the archery museum that I truly enjoy visiting as well
that Remington 07 looks like the Patriarch of the 51 pistol. They just released a new production of that pistol in 9mm, retaining the nostalgic design features.
Excellent revue Mike. Nice to see some British pistols . You'll appreciate that we cannot own pistols with a few special exceptions here in England. I really like your interesting but relaxed approach to your articles without the need for frantic load heavy metal introducts.
It's funny how the timing sometimes works out. Capandball just uploaded an awesome video of that Savage revolver you posted. He shoots it, gives some history, and even takes it apart to show the unique internal workings. You should check it out.
I was there yesterday June 29th 2020 I went to the NRA headquarters Museum in 2012 both places are incredible I encourage everybody that loves Firearms as much as I do to go see both places keep your powder dry my friends we're going to need it one day for sure the way things are heading in this country God bless you my second amendment friends
That's a cool video.I subscribe to the NFM channel here on youtube and they are the Smithsonian of guns.Phil Shrier and Jim Supica have probably handled all of the world's rarest guns.I'd love to see that diplay or the main one in Virgina but it's just too far. I saw the other day where Remington is going to start making the Mod. 51 again only this time it will be 9mm.
God luck with getting Uberti to make a birdshead 1875 Remington. I have bugged them for years to bring out the 1860 Henry and the 1866 Winchester copies in .44 Russian caliber without success.
i did a bit of reading about the 1907 handgun trials and googled for pictures of all the guns but damn if pictures don't exist, so yep thanks for that bit.

Wilson's Creek battlefield also has a nice gun museum, also in Springfield.
Been to the museum, it is very nice! You need to make it a bucket list location, and it's in Bass Pro!
what a pleasure to see a video narrated by such an expert on the subject. very nice.
Thank you for sharing what looked to be a very well spent day with some legends of gun history.
Very well done video, Thanks for the tour

Truly awesome. I would love to be able to go through there with you and your gun knowledge and my sticky fingerprints on the glass.
Beautiful collection, thank you for showing it.
Mike- Another great video! You may have more fun than any one person I know. Keep up the good work!
This is Awesome!!! Thanks For Sharing ! !
Great video. The Remington-Pederson .45 looks somewhat like a CZ-52.
Great video, thanks.
I was amazed a great historic collection could be free.
Thanks for the tour of these incredible firearms Mike! Oh, and Happy New Year to ya! Cheers!
What a great collection.
Thanks for sharing. Incredible.
Great video Mike
I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
Great share! Enjoyed.
Thanks for this video! Any video of the SASS convention coming up? Your videos had helped me decide to get a 1858 pietta Remington revolver... Thanks!
I may have to make a side trip during my drive back through Missouri next weekend.
You have outdone yourself with this video! well done!
Remington is making the Pederson in single stack 9mm. Thought you would like to know.
I'm not into history, in fact I'm into black guns and hicap pistols. With that said that is a super awesome video. Cool guns.

Love the Remington as well.
Thanks for sharing that! Is the Exhibit a permanent feature or for a limited time only?
Thank you very much sir that was amazing :-)
I wish Uberti would make a Merwin & Hulbert and Mass Arms Adams. The Savage Navy would be awesome too
does that Remington pederson use the same action as the r51 that are about to be reintroduced into the market in 9mm?
I can't say for sure, but I suspect so. I plan to check it out with Remington.
Yes.
Hey Mike, ever go to the Virginia NRA museum?
very cool
Great vid !
Was the Savage Arms back then of any relation to the Savage Arms of today?
Sweet I've been there before
Thank you for 10 minutes of vintage gun porn :)
Where's the "Double Like" button?
That Remington-Pedersen .45 is beautiful, pity no reproductions made of it.
i did a bit of reading about the 1907 handgun trials and googled for pictures of all the guns but damn if pictures don't exist, so yep thanks for that bit.
