The man in charge of the pancake toss seems like EXACTLY the right fit to be working at this camp. What a trooper! So encouraging and positive and just overall seems like a friendly person. Even just from hearing his voice, I appreciated his patience for all the kids and enthusiasm for his job. Love that!
My favorite Girl Scout camp activity was the Polar Bear Club .... we got up every morning at 6:30 and had to run down to the lake, jump in, go completely under water and then get our Polar Bear book signed off by one of the counselors. At the end of camp, for every day you had a signature, you got a dollar to spend at the Camp Store! If you had a signature for all 6 mornings, you got either a Polar Bear Club beach towel or a Polar Bear Windbreaker! I still have my Windbreaker in my memory box ....and camp was 50 years ago!!! 😊

I’m not sure what my fav activity would be but the scavenger hunt looks like a lot of fun. Luke’s excitement made me smile and giggle the whole video, his pure love of life is catching ❤❤
The scavenger hunt and the escape room (featured in our next video) are relatively new additions to this camp and I love them both

We don’t have summer camps like this in Denmark, but my favorite activity to watch is probably the ropes course. Oh, and seeing Laffing Sal (no summer seems complete without it 😄)

question for jessica, chris or anyone who have been in that forest, is there any ticks there? im terrifed of ticks and i know they like the forest, but that camp looks so cool and i wanna go
We have never had problems with ticks at this camp, but we usually stick to the trails and never go through tall grass. The idea of ticks freak me out too. (this is Chris BTW)

My favorite part about summer camp is the campfire too! I haven't been to many summer camp but if I ever had a family I will be do one to initiate summer camps.

Boating is great. Summer camp is great for kids! I went with a few cousins at different times. It could get weird with bullies, but we still always had a good time. My one coz and I still joke every time we meet about our week at camp. I got so mad defending when older kids were bullying him that I shouted about how he was from NJ and didn't know what animals were in the woods there! He reminded me (after I put the bullies in their place) that he wasn't from NJ...That was my other cuz....

Those are some of my favorites too. Fishing wasn't an option on this camping trip, but Duncan is begging to go fishing, so hopefully we can find a place to do it some time soon.

When I was a counselor in summer camp my fave thing to do was make crafts
I wish that there was family camp in upstate New York I would of wanted to go to it in the 1980’-1990’s when I was a kid. I was in 1983 in January. I think you and Jess were born the same year as me. I’m also the youngest of my siblings just like Teddy my brother is 7 years older than me and my older sister is 17 years older than me I have 2 more brothers my ma raised 5 kids but she originally had 6 kids like you.
