Another fun camping day with the Ballingers! Your kids all seem so appreciative of the nuances of history and iconic references that not all adults even pay attention to. I love their enthusiasm for adventures and exploration of their surroundings that might seem mundane to a lot of modern kids. You can tell that Christopher and Jessica pour their whole hearts into ensuring a healthy, vibrant upbringing for their kids and the importance of staying in tune with nature. It's just wonderful to see you all enjoying your experiences together, and being so relatable!
love this family! here’s what most admire about each ballinger kid: Bailey: SO SMART and so caring and kind to all. Jacob: so creative and funny Parker: so energetic and excited about everything. Duncan: a little joke-ster and loves to explore Luke: the cutest little guy with the cutest comments for everything Teddy: such an enthusiastic little boy! And of course credit to chris and jessica for raising these beautiful humans!!!!
we did a family camp every summer right outside Lake Tahoe with my family growing up with my cousins and my siblings and it is one of the best memories I have of growing up! my moms side of the family went there as a kid brought us as kids, and now my cousins and siblings bring their kids. My grandma lived/my dad grew up right outside Santa Cruz in Watsonville so Ive done that train ride many times .. its gorgeous! Laughing Sal used to terrify me.. thank you as always for the flashing light warning . as a photosensitive epileptic I always appreciate it when Im not thrown off and have to rush through it and know ahead of time!
I love this family so much and these are my fav videos to watch yearly. You guys (Jessica and Christopher) are amazing parents, your children are really sweet and kind and smart. You make me happy anytime you post a new video. LUKE FOR PRESIDENT. I send much love ❤❤❤
WOW! These are my favorite vlogs you guys do! I was lucky to work in Christian camping doing horsemanship for 13 years… my favorite activity is horseback riding! 🐴
This so much fun! I love the Family Camp vlogs. I wish I had a Family Camp like this growing up it's so wonderful, and I appreciate you guys sharing this experience too so we all can experience it via vlog! 🥰
Oh, I am so excited for you! You’ll love it! And yes, the temperature is usually lovely. But definitely wear sunscreen. If you sit in one of the open cars, you need it for sure and I almost always get a sunburn on the boardwalk, even with sunscreen (I get burned easily, I really have to reapply more than usual there).
That train really does look like fun! We have something like that on the East Coast in Stasburg, PA. Love how the camp Counselors really get into everything. Looks like everyone is having a great time.
With our son who gets pretty bad motion sickness we've found that Gravol works the best. We used the bands, glasses, and Dramamine and none of them worked. I think the Dramamine worked the least. Gravol is a Canadian brand (we are in the USA), but it has changed our travels in the best way!!
During the holiday season the train actually puts lights all over the train this Holiday Lights Train. You start at the Boardwalk go up past the tunnel, sing carols and sipping hot cocoa while you wait to meet Santa and Mrs Claus, then backwards back to the Boardwalk. If you make a trip up for that, there is also a drive thru lights attraction just over Hwy 17 to Vasona Park in Los Gatos. It's also worth doing some Christmas shopping and a fun lunch in Downtown Santa Cruz. Lots of options. Fun/sad fact, a lot of the logging done in the early 1900's was to help rebuild San Francisco after the fire.
I can't add the video I have of the lengths the city goes to help the Roaring Camp train get to the Boardwalk on the fourth, as you know beach cities have to be proactive.
Thirty-five years ago, six year old me pushed the emergency call button that used to be in each of the jetcopters. It was a red button that flashed so who wouldn't push it? The ride operator was so mad. My mild mannered Christian Mom got even madder at him. It was the first time I ever remember her swearing. That only ever happened a handful of times in her life. The operator spent so much time yelling at me the ride operation system shut down. I only remember the jet copters being down for a few hours. I also was given a day pass by management to apologize for the rude operator. It was an awesome day and pushing that flashing button was very satisfying 😂
I also highly recommend a day riding the train with or without a stop at the Boardwalk. We now live about an hour away and go almost every year even though my daughter is now a teenager. 💜 Felton, Santa Cruz and the stunning nature are worth exploring.

Ikr. They seem like the best family ever
I love the style of this video a lot. The calming, informational vibe really works.
All of your babies are so polite and intelligent!!! We need a parenting book out of Jessica and Christopher!!!!!

Thank you Ballinger family for this great virtual mini vacation. The redwood Forest are beautiful and I love to see your family enjoying it.❤
"that's not a ride that's a maintenance vehicle" 😅😅
I’m so glad Jessica got something delicious to eat! The menu at camp doesn’t seem like ample for a pescatarian.

I've been for the moonlight through the redwoods ride, with BBQ and country music at Roaring Camp. It's so beautiful there! Thanks for sharing!

I love seeing you guys having so much fun and the boardwalk looks very entertaining and the redwood trees there so beautiful
I love these family camp videos! They are my favorite every year! ❤
Thank you, and thanks for fast forwarding the correct part of the ride home... I like trees and seeing the kids enjoying their time away from home.
Hello everybody, good morning. Love being outside; I just had my 54th birthday, love your family vlogs so much, big hugs.
Omg thank you. I've always wanted to see the redwood forest!

Added to our list. We live close enough that we could make a day trip of this. Would be perfect for the days when it’s 100 inland.

I loved this video, family camp is such a great idea and what an awesome experience for all of you ❤
That thumbnail has just the cutest little face! 😍

If we’re in PA again, we’ll have to check it out! Thank you 💗
I really love the cost and everything in this video as I’ve always been super curious!!
I like Bailey 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thank you! Where do you usually find it?
@@BallingerFamilyAmazon I know has it & it really does work! They have both kids liquid & chewable versions!
Does Bailey and Jacob ever talk about becoming camp councillors?

Wowwwww that sounds like a dream! Thank you for sure. & that makes sense about the fire! I’d never connected that 💔
Im so glad 15 year old me saved my paper tickets. I still have them in my wallet RIGHT NOW! I love the Boardwalk ❤
Target in USA carries gravol for kids
Doing a roadtrip to Santa Cruz in a few weeks from San Diego. Going to make sure we do this train ride! 🙌
Yayyyyy!!! Can’t wait to hear what you think!
Funky place ❤
I played that Avengers coin game at Dave & Buster's recently.
Really neat. 😊
I so wanna know what the temperature was. I’m always curious when Californians say it’s chilly and are wearing sweatshirts 😂

1:47 I am wondering how the costumes fit the theme 🤔 😊
How long does the train ride take?
45 minutes each way 😀
1:31 can one get those for adults? Do they have a trade name and more importantly, do they work?
Whyyyyyy do Americans still go by feet and inches???! I can't understand anything they're saying!
(great video btw 😂)
Agh sorry! We usually try to remember to give both numbers.
Ummm the last clip in this video. I wonder what happened there! Definitely an oopsie!
