Back in the late 1980s, as a college student, I worked in a styrofoam packaging factory in then West Berlin. I was a machine operator for three or four styrofoam presses, but this factory seems to be a lot better organised and a lot cleaner. Our main problem was the boss: The machines need to be very carefully adjusted for each type of styrofoam product, and our foreman really knew what he was doing. The adjustents included, but were not restricted, to filling time, pre-pressure (when the mold closed fully, during filling it was still slightly open), steam pressure and heating time, cooling down period etc.. But these machines were already computer controlled and connected to our company net and the boss could see the settings of each machine on his PC in his offivce and play with them, mainly because he thought that the machines were not running fast enough. The result was either a blizzard of styrofoam balls, when the mold opened (because he did not allow for enough steam to let them sinter together) or a shrivelled piece of polystyrene if he let too much steam in and let the mold get too hot. In both cases it was extra work for us because we had to stop the machine and clean up the mess.
A little explanation of the processes involved would have helped a lot for understanding and learning. OK, I found sparse closed captions even though there was no voiceover.
9:38 Everyone can see the green string cuts into the corner of the stack going into the dryer. ● Even before it leaves the factory, a big percentage of the product is already unfit for discerning customers like me 😢😢😢
No need for music, rather hear the original noise. Thanks, good video
Please drop the music ... drives me crazy.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Volume button
@@DVD927 but then you cant hear the suffering of the workers! really though, the music sucks.
FR, I had to watch with it muted.

That's one factory where I wouldn't want to work without the best hearing protection)
Your videos were so much better without the music.
What about you minding over your channel and not others?

Hell can be defined as a styrofoam picnic cooler in the back seat of your car on a rough road! Ask me how I know!
Fun. To. Watch!!!😊
I like your video! It's so amazing
Bom dia caixa de espuma gostei bom
But how do you get rid of all this eps after use?
Yea, stopped watching cause of the repeating music. It was better when it was just manufacturer's noise.
Stop background music 🎶 🎵 😤
Stop complaining.

Lots of water for high humidity to lower the static charges on these items.
