59A B best as I can tell, you have the same engine that I have in my '47. Originally 6 volt - positive ground. That distributor style on yours was used from '46-'48. Mine car has been changed over to 12 volts with an alternator but still runs the original 6v ignition coil and 6v starter.
Thank you for the info. I was able to hit the key today and it turns over well. I wasn’t getting spark but I filed the points and fixed that. I hope to have it running tomorrow. I took the radiator and fan back off today so I could get inside the distributor. Filed the points, checked the coil, and installed an oil pressure gauge today. I plan to also install an old fuel tank. By the time I felt like I was ready this evening it was too late to try it again. I live in a neighborhood. Tomorrow is the day. I’ll post a video once I getter running.
Some heavy springs in that van. Good job 👍
Thank you.
Long ago I had to take a 302 out of my 57 F-100, the higher I would lift the truck would too. Lol.

We might be letting the air out of the tires soon 😮
how does the headers work three pipes on a four cylinder head? Two cylinder must feed into the same port.
Yep. All flatheads have 3 exhaust ports on each side. 2&3 and 6&7 share the same hole.
