I've been following you for 10 years. I want to thank you for your innovative artistic design. No other wood worker on UA-cam is doing it as well. Your tables are always a masterpiece. The door was a revelation. I "borrowed" one of your segmented vase designs to make an urn for my father's ashes. The production of it helped me with his passing.Thank you for making content worth watching. Please keep up the amazing work.
Is the black dye the same as black wood stain? I'm getting ready to stain a piece I'm working on and I want it black black. Just want to see the wood grain. Wondering now if I should et dye instead of stain.
This is india ink. Its very potent. A stain will work just fine but it may take a few coats to get the look you want. I like the look of dye or Ink more in this case

You are so inspirational that I have decided to have my butler learn how to do this.
Always good to see the dusty life back in action! The natural soundtrack of turning is fantastic! Nice work as always =)
Glad to see the video sir. Happy to see you turning it’s to long since I got a notification for your channel
The distictly Toth form. Looks very cool! India ink makes a shockingly good dye. Always a pleasure to see a video from you. Thanks for sharing!
It's been too long since I have seen one of your videos. A master of the craft as always. Stay safe!
Awesome to have you back with goregous vases :)
Thanks for the inspiration, I just purchased a wood lathe yesterday because of your videos.
Awesome
Now that's a lot of clamps.
Those are nice, Kyle, but a lot of work. I missed Todd, too.
Bill
Where do you get your black veneer?🤪
🙊
Nicely done & those are beautiful vases Kyle! BTW, where is the pooch? 👍👍🐶🐶
Where Todd?
Wooooweee!!!!!
Lovely. Whats the vkack finish? Polyurethane?
Its been a while since we had seen turning video 🎉 are segments more visible in person? what kind of black is that?
Sick
I feel like wood turning would be therapeutic. Well, to me anyway.
it is. Square wood projects with plans and tight measurements can be stressful. Usually there is much more leeway in turning.

Thank you. @@WoodByToth
Dyed black… Any sealer over the ink? Or final lite sanding after the ink (any raised grain?)? Good either way.
I used a piece of white paper after the ink dyed to knock down any burs. Then sprayed a few coats of lacquer over the ink
I guess if you wanted black vases they are very nice. But what a wonderful way to ruin some beautiful wood. Look how nice the inside is.
