Nostalgic! Some 15-18 years ago, when i was into drawing and sketching, i drew a pod race with big mono wheeled vehicle that had rocket boosters / tiny helicopter fans for levitation (was unaware of cyber cars and star wars and stuff). Made 3 or 4 designs in which 1 had its wheel to the rear instead of front. Its nostalgic to see almost same design after such a long time 😮❤
Oddly, for me, the best part of this build is how surprisingly "solid" the bottom of the car looks. The way it marries to the frame without any gaps just makes it look like it was supposed to be that way. Excellent work all around on an interactive piece that also looks like a natural build!
Thank you! This style is still one of my favorite types of build to do. You can't see the detail without flipping it over though so it's hard to display
Where most people (including myself) would've just glued the whole thing solid you made it actually hover with working suspension plus detailed underside... Awesome stuff!
Thank you! I am starting to be a bit more explicit with the details of my builds. I scratch built a big rotary snowblower back in December and most people didn't realize it was completely scratch built 🤣
Wow that's awesome! Actually I've just finished my steampunk diorama project (that took me 6 months) and started to plan a steampunk monowheel diorama. It's a great idea to add thrusters to a monowheel and levitate them with magnets! Thank you so much for the inspirations!!!
Hey, Ben! Well, you broke the glass on the creativity meter again! Just brilliant. This is next level engineering with the magnets. And an edible diorama too! Greetings from Switzerland - Andrew 🍁🍪
Omg intro and cookie part was hilarious 🤣 Small details like the piece you used for the firewall really make me happy lol, normally I'd probably overlook something like that and you've added stuff everywhere! Love it, another incredible build. I recently finished my first and would love to hear your feedback..the good & bad. Whoa cool, a 2nd car! "Best friends"😂😂😂
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I had fun making the car and the video. As far as detail, you gotta go all out for COTM if you want a chance at the podium, especially in August. Hit me up on instagram DMs and I'll check out your build
@@BPCustomCreations ah ok, didn't realize it was for cotm. I try to use as much detail as possible no matter what, but hopefully over time my creativity will evolve. I don't have much of my build on IG, but I do have a video up.
Now that is cool 😎. Great work. Everything looks awesome. How it floats is great 👍. I should have done that with my space truck , but I guess it is to big to float on magnets 🧲. The front of that car is awesome . Not sure if you seen my space truck ? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Cool video , all around. Mike Espo .
Lovely car, I like to think that the budget ran out on the second car and they could only afford half a hover kit so had to use a wheel.. good luck with it
Have you tried doing a full hover car? Using for magnets in the corners that repel, then some weaker magnets in the middle that try to connect? Not sure if it would work or not.
I would love to see that! You would need stronger magnets, unless it's just a plastic kit. That would be good for fitting them inside! 1/64 is so small you need to get creative with hiding things 🤣
I know this is an old post but absolutely love this build! I want to recreate this build (or something similar) for gaslands but wondering what you pulled the front wheel from.
Hey! Just saw this video for the first time, and I’d love to know what you used for the heat grill part! Love the creativity on this one, gonna be binging your Gaslands playlist soon for sure 😄
Hey, possibly an odd question but I haven't seen it answered in any of the other comments - what did you use to bind the three types of grit together into the terrain "cookie"? I'm guessing it was probably just superglue, PVA, resin, or something like that, but figured I'd ask to save myself the trial and error ;P
@@BPCustomCreations ahhhh that makes a lot of sense, thanks! I'm currently building my own monowheel vehicle - more of a traditional design, with the driver's pod inside the wheel - but I'm planning to build it so it can roll, using a similar technique with the magnets in the base to hold it in place for when I wanna actually play with it 😅
I liked how interactive this model was.. hovering, suspension, moving wheel. Very nice!
Thanks! This is one that remained closest to a "toy" still out of all the ones I've done 😂
Nostalgic!

Awesome stuff!
I spent a lot of time on the mechanics before I starting the cosmetics this time! I'm glad it worked out for me 😁
I like how it turned out. The magnets was a brilliant idea.
Thanks, Bill! I wish it was a little more stable but if you find the sweet balance point it stays up pretty well until you try to move the base.
that is crazy cool. the magnet idea was genius
Thank you! 😎 The hardest part was getting a balance point and gluing them in place on the 🍪
@@BPCustomCreations well it worked perfectly and turned out sweet
WOW! I really like the build and I would like to see more of your crafting! More of the crafting and video would be perfect!
Thanks! I have quute a few other videos up on my channel that I hope you enjoy 😁👍
Well now! Thats pretty smart building with magnets, gotta remember that one if i ever try something that hovers... :D
Thanks! I hope to see some more magnetic builds in the future!
Saw this a few days ago, I had no idea it was levitating!! Amazing! Love that suspension too

Nice job! Somehow you made the monowheel elegant.

i always hated hover cars, but ur work made me like at least some of em. ur ones are awesome, good work
Thank you! I'm glad you like them 😁
Been experimenting with magnets, so this is definitely inspiration! Dope build!
Awesome! Thank you! 😎

Thanks, Andrew! Anything is edible if you try hard enough, I suppose 😂
😂😂 you guys are hilarious
Cool little project!
And I finally checked whether magnets get weaker over time
The question was nagging me for so long - but was too lazy :)
Do they? I wouldn't think so but never thought about it
This is one hella inspiring build and pretty cool execution
Thank you! I need to revisit magnets in the future 🤔
Outstanding!! And the magnets are brilliant!
Thanks, Keith!
I hope you are working with much bigger models in future. You have amazing skills, its really feel great to watch.

That is a nifty build. supa ookii sharin no kuruma desu (hope that is right, 30 years since high school language class)
Nice! I wish I could have started Japanese in high school but it wasn't available to me until University.
SHEESH! That's freaking fantastic Ben! As great as the car/wheel itself is, I can't stop laughing at the mag lift - I love it!

Haha, nice! Little did they know the wheeled car is much cooler and now he gets all the ladies.
I can now imagine someone making a levitating delorean.lol
My friend Rikki is going to try doing just that!
Ooh gonna be very nice
Well once I get set up to build such things I'm definitely going to try something similar. Awesome build definitely had to hit that subscribe button

Have you tried doing a full hover car? Using for magnets in the corners that repel, then some weaker magnets in the middle that try to connect? Not sure if it would work or not.
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. I was trying to think of a way to do it but you basically need electromagnets.
Marvellous in it's simplicity and elegance. Looking forward to reviewing this in the August Car of the month video, great work senpai!
Thank you! Don't lose too mich sleep on making that massive video! August is a big month. I guess you can thank James for that 😂
Just came over from the JDC live stream. Amazing build man! I'll definitely be catching up on some of your other videos. 👍
Awesome! Thanks for being here!
Cool build. Reverse engineered from Roswell...
Thank you 👽
Kinda want to try this but with a 1/25 scale car

My question is: Magnets, how do they work?
I stopped myself from putting a juggalo in the video. Low hanging fruit and whatnot...
@@BPCustomCreations ^ guy that doesn't know how magnets work. It's simple, they contain pieces of gravity
Bro that’s straight up a car from Spy Kids 3.
🤣 Someone else said that too. I haven't seen the movie
Can you make a back to the future Delorean?
Maybe but making something float entirely with magnets is another thing entirely! Way more bulky and expensive.
🔵🔴Oh my, this is way cool!!👊👍
Getting the magnets in the right spot was tough! Give it a go if you are feeling too relaxed.
@@BPCustomCreations 😂 I rarely get that relaxed!👍
looks like that one car from spy kids 3, you know spy kids 3...
I don't remember what car you are talking about it but I probably watched that movie when I was a kid
Nice idea and build but lets talk about steering... there is no steering capability..
Thank you. You can steer by varying power to the rear thrusters 🙂
