Question : I thought that for converting an old profile to liquid profile, you had to knew the exact EQ of the amp from when it was profiled in the first place. Is it the case or you simply just select an amp instead of the Kemper Generic tone stack and that’s it?
Yes. If you want to have that exact amp behaving as it should, in a Liquid Profile, you need the settings it was profiled at. Note that many of the profile creators include a list of the settings in the profile pack. You would have to open the original folder in downloads/my documents (or wherever you have saved it) on your pc. Remember, converting a profile to a liquid profile is just one step. The other step is adding a tone stack. However, nothing stops you from adding the closest tone stacks. But it probably won’t react as the profiled amp. It’s hit and miss, and sometimes you come out with an original sounding amp.
