David, quite nice… content is wonderful for those who have been able to visit. Stop there again with Colin…. Looking forward to more great Beatles detective work.. cheers!
Paul once said that he saw John at a fish and chips shop before the first meeting at the church. Is this fish & chips shop the one Pual mentioned about ? I have visited Panny Lane twice with little advanced information about the places. Thank you for your video, I found out some facts after all.
Paul also recalls seeing John by a newsagents store where Paul worked, though that wasn't at Penny Lane. Wait until the 3rd video when the whole song will be explained! Lots to learn there too 😃
@@BrightmoonLiverpool Thank you for the new information about the newsagents. The movie, Looking for Lennon, was recetly in the theaters in Japan. I saw you there !
I was in Liverpool a few years back, watching Gloucestershire play Lancashire in a 4-day County Championship cricket match at Aigburth. There was a prolonged break for rain on the first afternoon, so I walked up to Penny Lane. I was amazed to find so many of the places mentioned in the song still there and I absolutely loved the hypothesis about 'Strange & Strange'! The match ended as a draw, btw.
3:35 I used to live off Crawford Ave. opposite Dovedale towers My mum used to say that John and Paul had sneaked into the clock tower and wrote their names on the wall by the clock when they would sneak out of School. Bit of an urban legend but who knows. Also Freddie Mercury once lodged at Dovedale towers
Can't wait for Part 2.
This story series brings joyful tears to my eyes. Classic song. Genius musicians. Thank you for sharing and thanks to The Beatles.
It is a wonderful song, and I loved uncovering the real story. Glad you enjoyed it.
Cannot wait for part 2 !!!
