For anyone deciding on building this, here’s a few tips to make it much better! First, keep all the caps on the bottles. Still air stops heat loss a lot more! Second, build with mud or cob instead of wood so it will last much longer and you can fill in the holes. It’s also completely free :) but Ofc with cob, an overhead plastic roof is a must! These changes will stop water from getting in, make it a lot more solid , long lasting and insulated:)

Great suggestion but if the lids were intact there would be no way to feed them unto the VC pipe that is holding them upright and in place so your suggestion is not a solution unless you tell us how to hold the bottles together while they have lids on.

Thanks for this video Angela. I would suggest that anyone who wants to try this be prepared to go the extra mile os covering this up with transparent plastic sheeting from the get go and there will be no way in for rainwater, mosquitoes , birds, squirrels sats . Don'forget to make tiny window.. I glimpsed this title and thought I have to see it. Not disappointed at all madam. Compliments of the season.

I actually considered doing this! I was looking for the stakes that go through the bottles...What did they use? PVC? Oh no! Mosquito breeder!! So, do you plan on taking the bottles out? Thanks for sharing Angela!

Yes, they used pvc. Overtime the bottles become warped which allows rainwater to get inside of them. I am going to remove the bottles and install tufted panels. Thanks for watching.

you can cut the bottles and harvest the plastics to make a new design that won't hold water.

I'd take the plastic bottles down. Other designs do not have the bottles upside down as seen in yours. I like the addition of the clear corrugated panels.
