I love the reminder to live in the moment. Thank you. It seems I decorate for fall when it moves me…..the weather changes, summer seems to be slipping away, and it just feels right to say goodbye and turn to a new season. I feel that might be different for each of us. Sometimes family or friends inspire me. I will go into their homes and “fall” will be displayed…..then I get the “fever”, go home….and it’s just “time”!!! BOOM🍁🍂😊
@@shellybell7240 Thank you so much! Oh I love how you said “when it moves me”-when it feels right!! That’s perfect! I am inspired by those around me as well. I love this comment, thank you so much for being here 🥰🍂
I loved your haul! The prices were amazing! The teapot was my favorite item. I share your feelings about decorating for fall in the actual season and I love fall, but I also love summer. I don’t want to cut it short. However, I live in Georgia, where it is still in the 90s, so summer refuses to be cut short. My town has a huge craft show the second weekend in September and I usually begin fall decorating after that. I consider it to be the official beginning of the fall season, for me. I do enjoy watching others begin their decorating in mid August, but I can’t seem to watch it before that.
@@CarenR244 Thank you so much!! I hear you, and I’m thinking the second week in September or so, I will too! I’m so glad you’re here. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🥰💐
I just decorated for fall and did my video. Mostly because my hubby and I are going away and I wanted this done before. Now all the editing 😜. You have some great finds 😊
@@tanyajohnston8262 ohhh I totally get that!! I love that we all are different and have various reasons for why we do or like different things. It makes the world go round! Have fun editing😁 I look forward to seeing your video! Thanks so much, and have a great trip! Do I sense another video from your trip as well? 😉
Not decorating until the actual season should be a new trend lol. Loving all your old books! My mom was a librarian for 25 years, so books hold a special place in my heart. I’m not ashamed to say I love the smell of old books too 😅 Great Vid!
@@JayG_ Oh I love this!! Thank you so much! I love the smell of old books too haha well and new ones, and libraries in general 😁 I’m so glad you’re here!!
I love your haul, and I’m really excited to see how you put it all together. I know you said you weren’t too sure about it, but I absolutely love the table cover!! The dried flowers are absolutely beautiful!! 😭😭 also, a little mystic tip, sprinkle or attach some cinnamon to your wood broom for a little financial “luck”, even better if you put it by the front door as a sign to bring in financial blessings through the seasons. 🤗
@@dee.albert Thank you so much!! Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Oooh I love that! It’s so funny, actually it already smells cinnamon-y! Haha but I will put even more! Thanks for watching ♥️🍂🫶🏼
You found some nice items. I have already decorated for fall, but I use more fall tones and a few leaf and pumpkins. Like you said, do what brings you joy if decorating early is what you want great if not great we must give grace and kindness to each other. We are all special because we are all unique and different. Have a great week.
@@booklady8888 Thank you so much! I love that, I’m sure it looks beautiful! Yes, exactly what I’m saying too 🥰 Thank you and have a great week as well 🫶🏼
I saw this one after I saw the one where you decorated but I love your finds!! I usedmto do this many years ago . and I had a thinf for finding different chairs and painting them . Some with vines or a complete pastela with the spindels being different color pastels. I enjoyed doing that. After I enjoyed the chairs and furniture I used and painted I sold them all at a garage sale. I was sad to see them go but it was time for something else! Thanks for sharing yourself with yor great ideas and the great bargains, I enjoyed it so much!! 💌
Thank you so much!! I love that you did that! It’s so fun, and also smart to sell too! I love the recycling that thrifting allows us to do, rather than purchasing new (which probable aren’t made as well, and very expensive too!) I appreciate you being here and for your kind words so very much 🥰🫶🏼🍂
Don't laugh! My fall decor is on the dining room table, and 3 totes of fall floral are in the dining room and have been for TWO weeks! As for staying "present" I am a planner, so I guess "my present" would be staying on task for that day, but I keep adding to the Planner the future things that need done for that week. I feel less Overwhelmed when it is thought through and planned, BUT THEN, life happens:)
@@ourtimberhome oooh I can’t wait to see your home all decorated!! Oh yes I have a planner too and set goals and have to brain-dump A Lot! But I just can’t get all into holidays and make big plans with entertaining and decorating way in advance! I am totally with you though! It helps with overwhelm to get it down somewhere!! Cheers to your beautiful fall decor I can’t wait to see it! 🍂
Thanks for watching, my fellow old souls! When do you decorate for fall? And how do you focus on the present?
